Changing VO commands (Pocohud)
Av Seldie og 1 medarbeidere
Ever wanted to scare your ICTV friends by playing the Cloaker rape whistle via PocoHUD's Pocorose? If the answer is yes, then you've come to the right place! Here I'll show you how to replace certain voice commands with various sound files within the game, weather it be VA or ambient.

Please not I'm not some kind of LUA coding haxxor expert as this just requires some simple Notepad++ editing and should you encounter any problems i.e PocoHUD not running, then I recommend reinstalling PocoHUD entirely and configure it again with more care.

What you'll need
1. Notepad++ or some other text editing program to actually edit the .lua files
2. PocoHUD, obviously
3. PocoHUD's source files, I'll link this later on
4. Voiceline IDs of the sound files you want to play, all known soundfile IDs are archived here ----->
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1m0LBg2PKpB-bnWfOFj40AglCI1dLmAHLH3ydi3Y7uz8/edit?pli=1#gid=674215167
Credits to Doktor Dakka (AKA Lightbulb on Facepunch) for managing this massive spreadsheet of known sound IDs

If anyone knows anymore soundfile IDs that are not yet added into the spreadsheet, then please share it so that we can archive it for future use.

Edit: If you are using the BLT Hook version of PocoHUD (the one from JamesWilko's github to be exact), you can just edit the HUD3_class.lua directly without needing to download the source files from Zenyr's github. Please note that this version of PocoHUD is outdated and you might experience some known crashes from it compared to Zenyr's most recent version (r354 if I'm not mistaken).
Getting the appropriate files in
Okay, now if you're reading this guide, then there's a 99.9% chance that you have PocoHUD installed, which of course, is a necessary requirement for you to replace the voicelines.

What you wanna do is to download PocoHUD's source files from here [github.com] and you what you should do next is to go to your Payday 2's file directory (usually at C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/PAYDAY 2) and go into your 'Poco' folder and replace the 'HUD3_class.luac' with the same one included with the source code's zip folder.

Don't forget to rename the file into '.luac' so that PocoHUD is able to read it in-game.

*IF YOU ARE USING THE BLT VERSION DO NOT RENAME THIS FILE*
If in doubt, make sure that the extention for the file you edited matches the extension of the original.

Editing the actual in-game voicelines
Your PocoHUD should be able to start up without any problems now if you did everything right, now let's get to the fun part, editing the actual voicelines!

Go back to HUD3_class.luac and open it with Notepad ++ or some other text editing program you have installed. Open up 'find' and then type in 'attention' and you should find something like this;

Now, let's use the 'whistle' (known as '_rose_whistle' in here) command as an example. Let's say we want to replace it with the Tazer burning death scream (WARNING: MAKES PUBS FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE), now all we gotta do is replace the sound ID binded with the 'whistle' command with the sound ID of the Tazer scream. The tazer scream in place has an ID called 'tsr_burndeath', so we're gonna swap out the 'whistling_attention' line with it like this;

Make sure the sound ID you inserted is spelled correctly along with the appropriate ' marks in place and test it in-game, it should work. If it does work, then you are free to replace the rest of the voicelines or even add more, although adding more might cause some formatting issues in-game i.e small boxes/unorganized boxes and I've never done it myself, so be cautious.

You can also replace the actual text being shown in the Pocorose's boxes by editing the text before the sound IDs such as this;

But beware of PocoHUD failing to launch as editing these lines tend to cause the most failures to launch from what I've experienced.

NOTE: Some sound IDs such as Bain's infamous thermal drill line will only work in their appropriate heists and will not work if you're loaded in a map that does not feature that particular line i.e Commisar lines will only work during HM Day 2 and not for Bank Heist etc.
That's all actually
It wasn't so hard now, was it? Anyway, this was my first guide, so apologies if I'm missing anything or if this guide is a little confusing for you as the result of english not being my native language.

Welp, I hope all of you magnificent bastards enjoy making pubs panic by spamming dozer lines or giving PTSD to your grandpa via burning death screams and like every other guide maker, give some feedback and criticism on how I can improve my guides in the future.
