How to run faster than Red Hare (Fastest mount)
By Rentani
This guide will inform you how to run faster than riding on Red Hare without using a speed boosting stratagem. Great for people who like to move around quickly or want to play an assassing/ninja character.

The Character
The first thing you need to do is create a custom character. Once you're happy with the design and go to 'voice/abilites'. In here you can select what voice you wish your character to use but for ability type you NEED to use 'Swift-Footed' as it gives the highest base speed. Honestly, I don't see a point in using anything other as all the other stats can be raised in game without having to use items/stratagems.

That's all you need to do in terms of creating your character.
The Items
Now to get the rest of the speed (a total of 256) we're going to be using items.

WARNING: They will lower your attack and defence stat (but with leveling increasiung these stats this won't matter too much)

The items required are as shown below:
  • Charm of Alacrity - Increases Speed.
  • Fleet Mail - Significantly increases Speed, but lowers Attack.
  • Messenger's Garb - Significantly increases Speed, but lowers Defence.

These will give you a total of 256 speed when used all together and with the 'Swift-Footed' character ability. This is 6 faster than Red Hare and is your BASE movement speed, meaning you will always be at this speed.
Now we can increase this further if we're to use ANY of the speed boosting stratagems. Congratulations, you're now faster than Red Hare. If you use a stratagem, you're A LOT FASTER than Red Hare.
Where to get the items
The items can be aquired by playing the game and doing the required actions or, they can be bought from the bonus point shop.

Aquiring the items in game
To obtain the 'Charm of Alacrity' you simply need to purchase it. It can usually be boought from the item shop right at the beginning of the game along with a few other stat boosting items. Pretty simple eh?

The next two items, 'Fleet Mail' and 'Messenger's Garb', you can obtain from difficulty 6 quests. These are quests such as 'Assassinate the Ruler'. After doing the quest you will obtain an item (you can check before hand by looking at the reward) which might be one of the two items needed.

In order to get a difficulty 6 quest you will need to grind quests of the same type and you'll start seeing higher difficulty ones appear. You can guage how far you are by looking at the difficulty of the quest. Simply repeating the same type of quest will eventually get you the difficulty 6 quest you need to be able to get the item.

NOTE: The difficulty levels might be different due to being on chaos but you get the idea. Grind the quest till you get the highest form.

I am currently unaware if they are randomised or if they're set. I will try to confirm this and add more information and pictures as I can.

Bonus point shop
This is by far the easiest method, all you need to do is have some bonus points spare (about 3000 should do) before you start a new game (less than 1000 to purchase the items and 2000 to be able to start the game with them).

To get to the bonus point shop:
Main Menu > Options > Bonus Points

To start the game with the items:
When starting a new game first pick your desired age. When the next screen pops up with the settings for difficulty and such, press 'Page Down' (or if you're using a xbox controller: RB). On this screen make sure you select 'Item Unlock'. This will enable you to start the game with the items you've bought from the bonus shop. You may also check any of the other settings if you have enough bonus points.

Redeyes is right, faster than maxing speed stat. Jump jump attack repeat, you can beat anybody anywhere without them stacking movement boosting items and stratagems and since this isn't a pvp game, you're more than fast enough and you can take the setup Sloth to boost your character's other stats, because you don't need speed with Zhou Tai's broken movement.

even at 205 u still move plenty fast. and in a game as easy as a warriors game movement speed is really the most important thing as long as all ur other stats are atleast decent.

There are also some other weapons that can be used with dashing or double jumps or similar to move at insane speeds when doing an attack then jump. The flying swords, or the katana or similar often have really amazing movement speed when doing aerial attacks followed by a jump and repeat. Although running around as flash sounds just as fun.

Or you could use Zhou Tai's Sword with a dash character. Jump jump attack.

Yup, just made a new character with the Swift-Footed ability, base speed is at 162.

With the 3 items mentioned, I still only get to 205.
I'm playing at Normal, no idea if that has an effect...

friik, are you sure you're using a custom character with the 'Swift-Foot' ability? This is required. Like I mentioned in the guide, there's little point using anything else as you can increase them in game whilst speed is the only one that doesn't gain points when leveling, or by collecting titles. Only items and the swift-foot ability in character creation will give you more speed.

I'm not able to get to 256 speed, even though I have these 3 Items (Messengers Garb, Fleetmail and Charm of Alacrity).

I'm still at 205 speed.

Did I miss anything?

Should also note that you can move as fast as red hare with paired fans and spamming jump attack over and over.
