General Tips
  • Gaining the favor of the optional gods is not hard and can net you some useful items

  • Getting lockboxes often upgrades your armor so you can save your money for more important things (weapon training, health supplies, etc.)

  • Learn to block and roll right. This will involve getting used to hit boxes and animation times.

  • Be sure to use blocks/stones to your advantage, they deal a lot of damage.

  • Boxes and meat (hanging from hooks) found around levels regenerate, so if you do not want to waste potions try to look around for those.

  • Horn blowing enemies should be a priority. As soon as you see a unit pull out a long horn, kill him immediately. As soon as the horn touches his lips an enemy will spawn. Even if only one ring of sound gets out, it will count as a reinforcement summon.

  • Weapons and general are pretty easy to find and you should be in surplus. With that in mind, be sure to use ranged weapons up if it means not losing health/armor, as weapons are easier to come by. Though rare weapons are not very rare, hold onto the ones you like.

  • Don't be shy with potions or summonables

  • If you are having trouble finding lockboxes or getting all the weapons (A Hero's Due and Divine Wrath) head on over to Huggybear's guide
Getting started/Agora (Hub 1)
When you first begin the game you will be introduced to the game's mechanics. After awhile you will fight a small boss, and then Hera will ask you for your help. After that you should get:

Mount Olympus
Story related, cannot be missed

You should get this when you first ascend to Mount Olympus, which is just a few minutes in after you beat the intro/tutorial level.

From here you will want to enter the big door to Agora. This is the first hub area of the game and there are a few achievements to get here if you want to look below. But, If you want to get right down to business just skip to one of the next sections.

Tallyman
This one will require you to grab the scroll-keeper's office key located in the Sewers
(which is actually on your way to Hades). You will need 1 lockpick to get to the key which is located in between the two entrances of the sewer. Once you have obtained the key, head to the Agora market and use it on the upper-right door

Panapoly
This one can be a bit tricky because the door to the barracks was not marked on my map until I actually entered it. First you will need the guardhouse key which is in the top left portion of the market in Agora. From there head to the door to the Forest of Artemis.

To reach The barracks door start at the entrance to the Forest of Artemis then head right down the lower ramp and you should come across a door with a red and white sign above it. Enter here.

Go through the lockboxes and pick up the key to the armory. Right now there is a slight bug where the achievement will just pop here rather than at the armory, but I recommend going to the armory (the door just a little bit north and east of the barracks door in Agora) to get more lockboxes.

Cloak and Dagger
Starts in the Agora market, ends in the Swamp (Forest of Artemis)

Upon entering the market (the door with the money bag logo on your level map) you will notice a merchant in a basement area. Go to him and buy the Assassin's Stash key for 100 coins. Later, in the Forest of Artemis, go find the Swamp and use the key to open the stash.

Fence
Starts at the Refugee Commonhouse in Agora, ends in the Swamp (Forest)

Break into the Common house and go to the top left part and pick up note that mentions a guy named Dorian in the sewers. Head there, and go just a bit to your left and kill him/grab the key.

Now you will need to head to the Forest of Artemis and go into the Swamp. From the leftmost entrance where you first enter the Swamp, head a bit right and up and you should come to a door that leads you to a blocked off section of the forest which is where you will use the Refugee key and open up a lockbox.

Party Crasher
Start at a house in Agora, ends in Apollo's area.

Find a locked door to the right of the Market and find the Symposium of the Sun seal, which invites you to Apollo's party. Head over to Apollo's area and you will find a locked door that requires the invitation, the achievement should pop around when you enter that area.

Nature's Blessing
Starts in a house in Agora, ends in Artemis' area.

On the right side of Agora find a locked door to a house, upon entering head immediately right and unlock another door with some slaves that will give you the "Blosem of Artemis."

Now head to the Forest of Artemis and find the door in the middle that is called the Sanctuary of Nymphs.

A Hero's Due
This achievement starts here in the hub area. There are a few important things to note about A Hero's Due:
  • As of right now there is a bug where you can actually miss one lockbox and still unlock the trophy because Acropolis (the second hub area of the game) allows you to get 13/12 lockboxes and the achievement counts total lockboxes unlocked rather getting all the lock boxes in each area.

  • You do not need to take anything from a lockbox in order to count it as found. You just need to open it.

  • You can check your world map to see how many lockboxes you still need. Looking at your level map will show you all of the lockboxes available in that area (they appear as little rectangle blue/red boxes).

  • Lockboxes are visible on your level map even in unexplored parts of an area, so if you missing 4 lockboxes in an area but all of the ones are on your map tan/empty, then you need to explore a different room or doorway in this level.

because you can see lockboxes on your map, I will just remind you of most of them as we get the other trophies.

Divine Wrath

This one is sort of related to A Hero's Due: most of the rare weapons you find will be from lock boxes. Rare weapons are not the ones you receive from beating Gods. They are weapons with red stars on their icon and some kind of story in their description/special attribute.
Optional Gods 1: Aphrodite and Dionysus
Irrestible
When you enter Aphrodite's area you will have to break some statues to anger her. Then she will have Eros start shooting arrows at you as she runs away. You need to try to get Eros to hit her 3 times in order to win. If you get hit by his arrows you will have to restart the quest. Dodge rolling is key here.

Inebriate
Dionysus' quest is kind of like a race against time. I recommend you go and unlock all the doors of the area (hitting targets/pulling switches). Once you talk to him you will see jars of alcohol for you grab. As soon as you pick one up your screen will blur and if you do not grab the next jar in time you will pass out and have to start over. The route I took started at the very top of the map and then followed a clockwise circle, but do it however you want.

Just a taste
Start in Dionysus' vineyard, end in Apollo's area

In Dionysus' vineyard look upstairs for the Nectar Cellar key. It will all the way at the top, climbing multiple flights of stairs and ending in an attic like storage area.

You will then use this key to open a door in Apollo's area. In the Palace of Apollo you need to head to the Servant's Quarters and from there head down. You should come across a door to use the Nectar Cellar key on. Then from there head even further down and the bottom room should have an inactive door on the left and a small door to lock pick on the right. Open the small door on the right and you will need to shoot a projectile downwards to hit a target in order to open up the door on the left. the achievement should pop when you enter that left part and check the chest.
Artemis
There are some optional quests that start here, but not all of them will end here. *Reminder: Fencer, Nature's Blessing, and Cloak and Dagger end here.

Master Huntsman
Head to the left of the Forest and all the way up, the entrance to the Hunting Lodge is far above the ship sitting on the water. Once in there, look for a breakable wall and find the Hunter's Note, which talks about the 3 elusive preys: A Bird of Paradise, a Golden Hare, and an Ivory Stag.

Now head to the main area of the forest near all the objectives and entrances. The preys should spawn around this area randomly. They will be named animals, and I tihnk they are slightly larger and maybe even appear as black markers on your map once spotted. They aren't too hard to kill. If you are having trouble finding them, try entering and reentering the area.

Each prey will drop a trophy which you will then take to the top right corner of the Forest and use the trophies to open some doors.

From the Grave

Start in the Forest, end in Hades.

First head all the way to the left of the Forest. Find the ship, hop off to the left and continue swimming left and you find the door to the Witch's house. Once there find the Sigil of the Necromancer.

Take the sigil to Hades and once you get to the large area of Hades you will head right and find a door to use the Sigil on. You will meet the necromancer here.

Bow of Artemis
Story related, cannot be missed

This boss fight has you and Artemis taking turns being the prey and the hunter. While you are prey, you will be a deer that can only run.

Your goal as the deer is to touch her 4 altars (they are marked waypoints on your screen/map and form a diamond shape) and turn into the hunter so you can hurt her in her deer form. Be on the look out for fruit on the floor to heal you. At about 2/3 health she will start firing Hydra Fangs (splitting arrows) and at about 1/3 health she will begin firing bomb arrows. Likewise, I recommend firing those same arrows back at her especially if your aim is not great under pressure.

Apollo
* Reminder, Party Crasher and Just a Taste will end here.

Apollo's Lyre
Story related, cannot be missed

You will need to anger him (try attacking his guard) to start this quest. After going through the mission you will eventually make it to his boss fight.

Fighting Apollo in the dark is not too much trouble. He will fire a variety of projectiles including a flame/split arrow. This would bea great time to use the special shield that gives you light. Otherwise, watch for when Apollo uses flaming projectiles as you can see him clearly. You can also switch back and forth between shield and torch.
Demeter/Hades
*Reminder: From the Grave ends here.

Sheaf of Demeter
Story related, cannot be missed

After meeting with Demeter she will tell you to go to Hades through the Sewer. There is nothing really tricky here, just follow along the objectives and be on the look out for boxes and the necromancer.

You do not actually fight Hades, but will instead go through different areas and fight some minibosses.
The Acropolis (Hub 2)
*When searching for lockboxes in this area keep in mind that you can find 13/12

Bounty

You should see a man named Fotis walking around near the middle of the Acropolis, and when you talk to him he will give you a key to a trapdoor near the market. Go there and just follow directions.

upon looting the area under the trapdoor, you will be attacked. From there go back to Fotis and kill him to receive a note. From there go to the Olympian Gates where you will fight off another ambush for the achievement to pop

*note: some users are reporting issues having this achievement pop.

A Gift for a Goddess

Near the fast travel at the Acropolis, look for a door to the right. Go inside and pick the locked door to get the achievement.

Edit: Narcissistic Cannibal is reporting that the achievement is obtained another way (this also connects to the 13/12 chests):

"First, I found a love note from an unknown guy to Kleio who's presumably living in the aforementioned house. The note says (in short) "Let's meet at the bath house". After I entered the bath house, on the upper floor, near a relaxing naked woman I found a note saying "Sorry, can't meet today, but I sent a chest full of elixirs and a girl back to your house". So I returned, and indeed, there was a girl servant with a new (13th) chest containing 1 bottle of every elixir in the room with the golden bird statue which is depicted on the achievement icon."

Thanks for the info!

Demand for Supply

Look through a house on the right near the main entrance of the Acropolis, above the doors to the Olympian Gates. Once inside you will have to unlock some doors and look for the Stockpile key. Then head over to the market and look for a breakable piece of floor and take the supplies and the achievement. (Thanks to hightide for pointing out how this was a bit unclear)

Message Lost

The mission for Hermes will take you to both hub areas and the Sea.

On the left side of the Acropolis you should find a red door to Kastor's house. Once inside you just need to go to the lower levels and kill Kastor to gain a list of people you need to kill.

2 targets will be in the Acropolis, 1 will be in Agora and two will be in the Sea. They will show up as black markers on your map so they should not be hard to find. Upon death they will drop seals that you will use to open up some doors in the far top-right corner of the Acropolis to claim your prize.

From: apfe1saft
"About the 'Message Lost' achievement, the last two guys are NOT in the sea, they are at 'Harbor of the tides'.
Thanks to Kramit The Frog for this tip: "[T]here is a rare glitch in the Message Lost achievement, which means it was bound to happen to me... so here is the fix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncCGtbhXBVA

You can also just stand on the other side of the door and punch the cyclopses as punches pass through doors."
Optional Gods 2: Hephaestus and Hermes (see note)
Precious Metal

Starts in Hephaestus' area, end in the Sea

When you first enter Hephaestus' area check the far right side of the level and you should find a key to the mine shafts. Once you have this key you will have to head over to Poseidon's area. Once there use the ship and head to the south west island on your map grid (it is just one space from the lower left corner). Look around the Island for a door to the mines and take all the gold and items you can but watch out for the half-beast men.

Smithy

This quest has you pulling levers to gain access to Hephaestus. There will be some trap dodging and target shooting. You need to find 4 miniature wheels with an opening spinning near cogs and you will have to pull the lever to stop them so that the openings are facing to the right. Once all that is done return to the entrance of the level and head left to the now accessible Hephaestus.

Message Lost

Note: this actually starts in the Acropolis and takes you to Agora, and The Sea. Because it starts and ends in the hub area I have the information there.
See: The Acropolis (Hub 2)
Ares
*BEWARE I have read in some places that the lockbox near an elevator on the left side of this area is missable. You must blow up the breakable wall near one of the elevators in the area and unlock the lockbox before facing Ares as it will become inoperable later. Edit: Thanks to @Huggybear for catching my location error (wrote right, meant left).

It seems like it also possible to revisit this area with a grappling hook to obtain the lock box, but I think it is much easier to just grab it the first time around.

Crest of Ares
Story related, cannot be missed

Getting to Ares involves lots of bloodshed and fighting. Keep your health in mind, don't be afraid to use range, and the box/food regenerates so be sure to grab supplies and health as necessary.

Facing Ares himself is not too bad. He shoots and attacks quicker than other enemies and take a lot of punishment. He shield will break eventually, but yours will probably be gone by then too unless you are quick with your rolls.
Athena
Aegis of Athena
Story related, cannot be missed

To get to Athena you will have to go through spinning labyrinth and shoot some targets. Be on the look out for lock boxes in the area where you go to through the three objective doors.

After all the maze running you will then be tasked with leading a force of skeleton warriors to fight through Athena's guards. This part can get a bit tough. Just make sure to keep 4 allies up at all times and take shot at enemies when you can.

Thanks to Dare Master for this tip: "I just wanted to mention that Athena's skeleton challenge is pretty easy if you stand behind your dudes and use the Sarissa (the extra long spear) plus occasional ranged shots."

Poseidon
Reminder: A portion of Message Lost is here, and Precious Metal ends here

The area is fairly large due to the use of the ship. When I played this my grid/map did not work proper so I was having to kind of guess where I was and going. Other than that be on the look out for other ships when traveling between objectives, because I think there was at least one lockbox on a ship in an unmarked area of the grid.

Treasure Hunter

This is probably one of the most expansive sidequest. At the harbor where you enter the Sea(where the ship is docked), look for a house that has two stories with a door on both top and bottom. Open up the switch in the top part then head to the bottom and you should come across the Raider Stash key. follow the directions as given, or look at the spoiler here:
Using your ship, go the island in the east part of the grid. Find the door for your key and then you should find the Euphemia Navigational Notes.
Go to your ship again and this time head to the square just below the horse icon. Head into the water and there will be a series of tunnels. Head to the lower left of the map and keep going right until you run into a rather large fish. Kill it and grab the Euphemia Cabin Key.
Now head back to your ship and sail to the bottom left corner. Here you will then hop of your boat, dive down, and explore the wreckage of the Euphemia until you find the cabin.

(Thanks to Trym0n for clearing up a direction error)

Trident of Poseidon
Story related, cannot be missed

This boss fight gave me the most trouble. You will be on your ship fighting a giant Poseidon who will occasionally knock your ship around as you hit him. Use your roll to stay on the ship as much as you can and deal ranged damage when possible.

Wrapping it up: remaining achievemnts
Note: for both Divine Wrath and A Hero's Due I recommend reading Huggybear's guide for detailed information. My guide is just a general achievement guide.

Divine Wrath
I unlocked this achievement after picking up the mirror shield that enemies drop in this area (I opened every lockbox in the game, and got over a dozen rare weapons early on). There are a total of 19 rare weapons, they have a red star and a backstory, and can be bought at the Black Market.

Here is a list of weapons that should be available at the black market:
  • Assassin's Arrow
  • Assassin Dagger
  • Blast Arrow
  • Bloodthirsty Mantis
  • Burning Blade
  • Dagger Shield
  • Dart of Eros
  • Discus of Returning
  • Earth-Shaker's Hammer
  • Forge Hammer
  • Hydra Fang
  • Mirrored Shield
  • Shield Breaker
  • Shield of Thorns
  • Spark Pellets
  • Spike of Keres
  • Sun Disc
  • Sword of Midas
  • Wall of Ajax

A Hero's Due
You should get this after unlocking the last chest in Zeus' area. I think you are free to go back to any area after receiving his thunderbolts so you can gather up any lockboxes you missed. Except for the missable Ares one

*
Reminder: Huggybear's guide covers Divine Wrath and A Hero's Due extensively

Thunderbolt of Zeus
This is a story related one that you will get after beating Zeus and picking up his thunderbolt. Be sure to pick it up or you may not get the achievement. Thanks to RJD112 for the info!

During the battle keep track of the soldiers that appear in the area (they are marked with points). They will provide you with bolts and shields that need to be used against Zeus. The first stage of his boss battle can be done easily by constantly rolling to dodge him, while his soldiers will die in about 1-2 hits. Grab their bolts and find a flat long surface (bottom floor, or the 2 lower platforms) and then hit him, roll in for some attacks and repeat.

His second stage requires you to use a mirror shield to reflect his bolts back at him. On olympian difficulty this was one of the more frustrating parts. Your shield is destroyed upon reflecting his bolt so you are left while trying to attack him and while running to find the next solider to get another shield. Rolls are handy and I also recommend taking potions when you need to rather than relying solely on the environment. During my boss fight it also seemed like the thunderstrikes that hit the ground randomly throughout the level counted as Zeus being hit by a bolt.

Apotheosis
If you chose to complete the optional God's quests you will also be granted this achievement at about the same time.

Olympian

This will require a second playthrough because you need to beat the game once to unlock Olympian difficulty. This mode is just like Champion (your attacks can be interrupted, enemies hit harder, etc.) except you also have no autoheal at all.

The lack of autoheal does not add that much of a challenge. There are plenty of supply stashes in areas to keep you at full health. The boss fights and certain endurance based scenarios (such as when you lead an army of skeletons from dust) are the main areas where I struggled. I have added some tips for boss fights, but it is still the same game: reflexes and coordination are what will keep you alive.

I know I'm late to this but as of rn there is a glitch where you can quickly switch to a different item after picking up a bottle of Dionysus' wine. When the animation starts switch to a weapon and you don't even have to drink them to complete the quest. After you get the item the code on the wine bugs out and if you drink it the countdown never starts and the screen blurs for half a second.
