So, you want to be the Bloodseeker for the Flayed Twins?
By Postal Dude of Cykaland
Deep in the peaks of Xhacatocatl lies the Flayed Twins, creatures who must continusly bathe in blood to survive. Using those that worships them, they choose a seeker for them. The seeker's job is to find blood and tranfer it directly to the twins through their blades. This scripture is to help those seekers who have only just seen the glory of the Flayed ones.

The Flayed ones are dying, a new seeker needs to be born.

The job of a bloodseeker is a great honour indeed. The Flayed ones with infinite powers are only limited to their short lifespan without constant flowing of blood. Hence why they have created the seekers. Each seeker has fought and drained blood from many of battlefields, each one learning from the last to perfect the craft. Blood spilled to the Flayed ones as crowds cheer out the true name of the seeker as they tell him that he is beyond godlike in his ventures.

Many seekers, however, have defied the rules of the past seekers and created methods that are... not so bright. This guideline for all future seekers is created to stop these not so bright guides. The Flayed ones are losing their life, and you must keep them alive through well co-ordinated ganks and pick offs because a seeker that has the most gold, will destroy everything and will gain enough blood to satisfy the twins for a long time.

What makes a Seeker so dangerous?
ABILITIES
Seekers have many unique abilities to help them gain the blood for the Flayed ones. These abilites allow for easy pick offs of lone targets or to disrupt a fight so pick offs can happen. These are the abilities of the current seeker:

Blood rage: This ability amplifies damage of either Bloodseeker, an ally or an enemy. Unlike the previous version, this does not silence (So it can amlify ability damage as well) and it does not do damage over time, but it increases the damage output even more than the previous version. However, it also amplifies the damage taken so use with caution. Costs no mana to useand has a very short cooldown.

Blood rite: A new ability to the seeker lineage. It is an AoE, PURE damage silence that has a delay. Although visiable to all units (Including enemy units) this can be used to silence the enemy team or to herd them away from eachother so the seeker can pick them off. At early levels, the mana cost is quite high for the current seeker's very small mana pool, but gets better as the seeker levels up.

Thirst: The seeker's main weapon. This passive ability allows bloodseeker to hit harder and run faster to catch up to targets AND it gives true sight to those heroes under 30% of their maximum health (So essentially, it counters the passive part of Slark's ult).

Rupture: Although Thirst is a seeker's main weapon, this ability is the most devestating weapon that a Seeker can use. What it does is whenever an enemy moves while having this debuff on them, they are damaged. So, this ability makes them either die by running or man up to face the seeker head on.
NOTE: A counter to this ability is the teleport scroll. Smart players will carry one of these around with them when there is a seeker in the game.

I like to go like this: Rite->Thirst->Rite->Thirst->Rage->Rupture->Rite->Thirst->Rite->Thirst-Rage and so on and so on.

ITEMS
These are some standard items that seekers should get to survive long enough to flow rivers of blood.

STARTING ITEMS: 1x Salve, 1x Tango, 1x Stout shield, 1x Clarity.

Now, before any starts to say anything, the clarity is for Blood rite. If you are like me, you would be using blood rite to scare off the enemy in your lane. The Seekers do not like harrasment, so anything to create space is good enough.

EARLY GAME: Brow boots, Belt of strengh, Elven skin, Morbid mask*, Bottle**

*: Only get this if you are ready to manfight. If you can get into melee range and almost kill them, this mask will make it so that you are alive long enough to spill the last bit of blood.

**: Get this when you are on mid lane, so you can have rune control and enough mana to spam blood rite.

CORE ITEMS Sange and Yasha, Mask of Madness* or Helm of the dominator**, Power treads, BKB, Mjolnair

I chose Sange and Yasha because if you are ganking to the extreme, you will need something to slow them down long enough for you to get some good speed in thrist (Since Seekers are slow unti they smell the blood of their victims)

*: Just for pure attack and movemens speed when activated. Whatever you do, do not (I repeat, do not) activate Blood rage on yourself when this is activated.

**: Build if you do not need MoM and instead want a satanic.

LUXARY/SITUATIONAL: Abbysal Blade, Butterfly, Skadi*, Manta style, Satanic, Heart of Tarrasque.

*: Skadi is here because it gives great stats and slows the enemy on attacks. Plus, it stacks with lifesteal.

Don't be a derp seeker.
Too many times people have seen seekers do horribly. This is because these seekers have no idea the virtues of what it means to be a seeker. So, let us get down to the unsavoury bits.

PHASE BOOTS: This item is kinda pointless to a seeker. The movement speed gained from it is baby-like compared to the speed of thirst. The only thing going for the item is damage, but even then, it is kinda pointless.

BLADE MAIL: Although good in theory (Combo with blood rage), it will be not worth it in the end. All you seekers out there, let me tell you this... *Whispers*Bloodseeker is an agility hero and not a strength *GASP*! There, I said it. His health pool is too low to compare to other strength heroes to survive a team fight with blade mail on.

CRYSTALIS/DAEDLUS: Again, good in theory but doesn't offer bloodseeker anything since he has something to give him the same feeling (The damage from thirst and Bloodrage) so... no.

VLADIMIR'S OFFERING: You have no UAMs on you. Stop it.

DAGON: PLEASE, OH GOD NO!!!!!!

USING BLOOD RAGE CONSTANTLY: Does this need to be explained? Using this constantly means one nuke and you are dead. Use sparingly.

USING BLOOD RITE AT THE START OF A TEAM FIGHT: Not all the time at. Seekers should use their blood rite near the end of the team fight to herd off the weaker ones so he can decimate them if it is a team fight with no ultimate skills in use. I can see the point that the silence stops the strong guys, but most of the time, Derp seekers use it when no one is near it.

FORCE STAFF=MOAR RUPTURE DAMAGE!: Please... the pain... it hurts so much... (The fact you got forcestaff for more Rupture damage, not the fact that you used on me just then).

RADIANCE: No, no, no, no. You are not a hero with illusions, you are not a hero with invisability, you do not gain anything other than damage. Stop.
GO OUT AND SPILL SOME BLOOD!
Hope this guide has taught all of the new seekers how to properly seek the targets for the twins. Blood shall flow for the twins in the future as you start to see Seekers give up forcestaff for the scary stun of Abbysal. Watch as they get rid of their blade mail for Butterfly. For tonight, the twins shal feast on the blood of the enemy of the seekers. We are the seekers, we do not forget, we do not forgive, expect us.

As soon as they get magic immunity, that goes out the window.

The best thing about Blood is that he relies on physical/pure damage, so BKB is one of the items that does NOT counter him.

I actually feel like dagon eblade is legit on bloodcyka as bloodrage amps the damage from items.
