The full process for the Symbiosis is the way to the ascension. That means you should do some unique quests for the husk cultist. I don't know my crew needs to be in this room for Husk Symbiosis, but I bring them there. Also, I don't know this mechanic just like you, until I search for the husk antidote in wiki xD.

no ones ever explained to me the full process for this symbiosys and just lets me die
