Intro.
Greetings once again adventurers!
So the Analand Sorceress has now trounced Baron Sukumvit's deathtrap dungeon challenge for a second time and has the immense sum of 20000 g.p. to play with.

So what does a tough, but glamorous Sorceress do with all that lovely money?
Of course: spa, facial and pedicure, then hit the shops! A new backpack, body armour and leather boots for starters. Then add some lovely Fulani braids and a new diamond nose stud and it's all good to go and save the world once more....

....which is just as well, because some yokel idiot called Drek has been meddling with things that didn't concern him and has unwittingly released a terrifying shadow demon, Agglax, from ancient captivity. The world of Titan is now in peril from Agglax and his dark army.
Fortunately that shopping spree barely put a dent in the cash, so there is still plenty of money to hire an army and try to defeat the shadow demon. But first it must be discovered how to defeat him.
Once more into the breach....
Stats.
Rather surprisingly, this final part of Ian Livingstone's deathtrap dungeon trilogy is not particularly tough on the stats if you follow the optimum route.
The real challenge is in collecting a hefty shopping list of artefacts along the way. These require very specific choices and if you miss anything, that's it.

Despite starting with 20000 g.p. you forget to purchase ten provisions and a traditional potion-of-your-choice before setting-off. (Possibly distracted by that shopping spree.) Furthermore, there are few other opportunities to replenish stamina, so a good skill score is essential to minimise stamina loss during fights. There are, however, several useful skill bonuses in the walkthru, which make a considerable difference.

In adventurer mode, with an initial skill of 10+ you should manage easily.

In hardcore hero mode, with optimum starting skill of 10, plus decent stamina & luck you should still succeed.
Skirmish Mode.
There is a new combat feature in this game called skirmish mode. This adds a feeling of scale to certain battles.
A defined number of your troops battle against a defined number of enemy troops.
In the each attack round you roll 1d6 to determine how many of your troops or how many enemy troops are killed.
The odds are weighted to favour whichever side has more troops remaining at the start of the attack round.

If you are superior:
1: -5 your troops
2/3/4: -5 enemy troops
5: -10 enemy troops
6: -15 enemy troops

If you are even:
1: -10 your troops
2/3: -5 your troops
4/5: -5 enemy troops
6: -10 enemy troops

If you are inferior:
1: -15 your troops
2: -10 your troops
3/4: -5 your troops
5/6: -5 enemy troops

Continue until all troops on one side of the skirmish are killed. If this is your troops, your quest is over.
Steam Achievements.
There are only six Steam achievements for this title.
Three are self-explanatory: Free-read win, Adventurer win & Hardcore Hero win. Simply follow this guide to complete your quest in each mode.

One of the other achievements "Agony Aunt" can also be completed during this winning walkthru. It is indicated in the walkthru where it occurs.

You now have two options:
either:

Fight two goblins: Sk 5 St 5, Sk 5 St 6
or:
Help the warrior on your left.
Laas of the north men is with you.
Fight hill troll: Sk 9 St 8

The first option gives you the easier fight, but it results in Max being killed whilst saving your life.
Being a tough-on-the outside, soft-on-the-inside Sorceress i prefer the second option (if my stats are still good) as it means Max doesn't have to martyr herself. The choice is yours however....
Either way continue below:
