Help for all (Pros and noobs)

I will update this slowly. And all comments are welcome. From what you feel is needed on the list to stuff you need to say such as "This is a ♥♥♥♥ guide" to that i say thank you and i dhont care. Its a small guide that perhaps can help someone else who is stuck.
But you might feel in the moment. And thats okay. Thats what i am here for!

Take it slow : There is no rush and no need for you to rush in and try to go all "Dark Soul" on it. There is small things that makes this better to take slow.

Weapons. There is no "Best weapon" or "Worst build" There is only you. What you find best. From there its all about learning how to play and what feels good for you. I love rot/earth. It feels good to see the life just tick down while you run.

As 𝔶𝔞𝔶𝔶𝔬 said ammo is a big deal and he is correct. If you press M you can find a 3 balls icon that will show where ammo is. (Updated now)

When you are on island 1 you are on "easy" so to speak as the witch storm cannot spawn.
Its also a good way to lv up spells, gear and stuff because its spred out and you dhont have to fear the storm.
When it happens (And it will)
Look in the sky. There will be a giant spiral that will show where it is. You can run to it and dogde the skulls that fly and hurt you. But the skulls around it you can shoot. From I counted 4-6 skulls per time and with a bit of luck you can kill the storm before it even spawns its men. It will drop some good loot such as : Healer potions - Ammo - Feathers - Gold - You can get page 2 or even 3 if you are lucky. For your own sake get it to spawn before a boss fight. For it can spawn in the boss fight and it will try to murder you.

This happy little guys are here to help you get a little bit of life (Or take it)

Magic orb of hide and seek.

This is a little evil one. To use this you need focus.
When you have it you will see this orb and you can look thru it.

As seen in the pic you can find 3 yellow totems. Shoot them thru the orb and you will get a free chest.

They can be all around it. Sometimes you have to jump and shoot, sometimes you have to crawl. It can be super easy or super hard. Have fun!

The 3 helpers

These 3 guys will grant you passiv and if you offer some witchfire they will grant you powerfull help. To get them you will need to do alot of missions to get the power needed. You will also need to find all 3 mask shards. From there you can summon them by going to their ring.

You can lv their power up by giveing the fire more little "suns" There are 3 shards on each island.

Map (And some stuff on it)

The map. Your best friend in the game. It will show all that is on it and slowly fill up with stuff when you spot it (Such as chests) and will show if you have killed the group of enemys.

Ammo : Ammo chest. You get ammo and demon ammo each time.

Chests. They can be locked and will require a key. You can get the key from the shop or by being lucky from a enemy drop.

Monsters : There are 3 groups of them. "Normal" - "Hard" - "Your dead meat"

Traps : There are a few forms of them. Most of them go away if you go close and dispatch it or shoot at it (If its a mine) If its are crazy big flower field then there are either a big flower you need to dispatch or kill the enemys in the area.

Flying totem : This little slice of pain is a flying totem that will block your path. There are 2 totems behind and in front of it you can shoot. Get rid of one of them and when it have its back turned to you then you can dash thru it if you need to.

Flying skull stone : There are a few smaller giant stones that will open up and shoot skulls at you.
Find the small ones first and shoot them. Then you can hurt the big one. It will drop some loot (I have been so lucky to get a page 2 from it)

Warden : This crazy bag of bones can be spottet easy by his mark on the mark and by his lantern. Kill him and he will drop a page 2. If you dhont he will spawn minions that will beat you.

Boss : Its the boss. It change on what place you are. Kill them to get some good loot and often gold.

The portal : There are a few. The one you came tru, it will close after a few min.
The one that you can take home - Go to it, defend it and you can come home.
The green ones are new places you can spawn next time you get to the island.

And last : Dangerous area. It can be monsters or something that will require your help (But mostly its monster guarding something)

Friend shop

The shop / Collector.

This is your best (and somewhat only) friend.
Give him witchfire/money - Gold. He will sell you wares.

He will get fresh wares each time you die or get back so if you need gold, herbs, ammo, anything. He is ready for you. He will spawn close to the portal or back in the church. Look at your map if you cant find him.

This is something i am sure you all know but just for the few who dhont.

You can grind forever, become lv 100 and still gnosis lv 1.
The game will only get harder when you lv up your gnosis.

As seen i rather lv up my Metatonia. By doing this i gain more witchfire each time and that allows me to lv up slowly but surely this way.

Some will say luck is most importen but this is not true. There is no "importen" stats. You can play with full luck, full metatonia, full vitality. It all depens on you. Play how you want to play and try diffent styles out.

You access the scarlet coast by going inside the tower in the middle of the first map. It will be laying on the floor. When you get close to the entrance enemies will spawn then you have to interact with the two statues at the entrance and then you are good to go

Okay let me try my best Eunomiac

1. I will say you have cleared a map when you have killed all the monsters and visited all the places you can spot on the map. Do the secret if you are feeling up for it. You can then storm the tower if you wish but its not "needed" so to speak.

2. (And 3) The scaret coast i cannot remember how to get there truth be told. The gnosis is where you go down to the book downstairs where you will also meet the vendor for the first time if you go around and look for the doors and stuff down there (Pretty nice place)

4. The magic orb is a little pedestal that can be pretty much all over the place. Find it with focus and you can spot the little skulls and shoot them.

Im sorry i cant help you better with nr 3 but im sure there is another that can help you!

I'm quite new to the game, and I feel like I'm missing something incredibly obvious because no one else has asked these likely very dumb questions :)

1) How do you "clear" a map? (Specifically, the first map.) Do you just have to visit all the icons and deal with them till they turn red on the map? Or do you have to storm the tower?

2) How do you gain access to the Scarlet Coast? I can't even increase my Gnosis past 0 until I do that, but I've no idea how.

3) Where is the merchant/vendor? I've never seen him.

4) What and where is this "magic orb" thing? Again, I've never seen an orb, and I've been on full focus frequently enough.

a small addition for the Map section
When you spawn in, the only chests that will show on the map, are Cursed Chests (their Icon is the one shown in the map, labelled as Chest).
they require you to do different tasks to open them (never a key):

- kill all enemies that spawn.
- survive for some duration of time.
- stay in an area while trying to evade enemies shot at you.
- kill all enemies while staying in an area.
(there are probably more tasks)

the normal chests, called Supply Chests, become visible on the map after you discover them while exploring, they disappear from the map once you open them.
these (Supply Chests} may require a Supply Key to open.

I wanna chime in too; while holding the head you can jump and the head doesn't start to shake and blow. you can also just crouch walk it back to the body and it won't begin to shake.

The head is a "easy" one to do. You just have to walk. When it begins to shake alot and there is fire then you stop right away. Then when its "cold" again then you can walk. Dhont run or shoot. Just walk and know the best rute to it.

It also helps if you kill all the monsters first then it will only spawn 1-2 at max (At least that is what i have seen)

So short : Just walk - Stop up - Wait a few - Go and its done.

It will take a little bit to learn how much you can push it but it will get easyer i promis!

That means your weapon have a skill.

The Bolt action rifle Hypnosis have the first skill that is arim down and the crystal will light blue. Shoot it when it is blue (Just keep it down) and shoot. Then it will count. Some weapons have a easyer skill (Such as hypnosis) where others are hard to do. Hope this explain it!

How to bring back head properly? Everytime when i pick head up it burns down in 2 second, even if i don't shoot, get hit, jump, dodge,spell. Everytime it just burns after i got it and mission fails.
