Taj's Graphical Overhaul - Make efficiency look sexy!
Door TajemnikTV
Tired of your factories looking a bit... meh? Want to turn your industrial empire into a visual masterpiece? Well, you're in luck! This guide is your ticket to transforming Satisfactory from "Oh, that's nice" to "Holy, is this even the same game?!"

I'm gonna be diving into the world of graphical tweaks, from simple slider adjustments to full-on ray tracing wizardry (actual hardware raytracing not included). Whether you're rocking a potato PC or a beast rig, there's always something here to make your conveyor belts shine and your nuclear plants glow (safely, I hope...).

Get ready to see every pipe, every constructor, and every majestic alien creature in eye-popping detail. Let's crank up those graphics and make efficiency look sexy!

Warning: Side effects may include excessive screenshot taking and the sudden urge to redesign your entire factory for optimal photo ops.

Graphical Overhaul
Mod Version
This guide will not be updated regularly. Use a mod version instead, which allows me to take advantage of more advanced features than only editing an ini file.

https://ficsit.app/mod/TajsGraph

It contains more up-to-date version of tweaks, along with some fixed for issues present in earlier versions.

Feature suggestions and issues should go here:
https://github.com/tajemniktv/TajsGraph/issues

I'm keeping this guide for archival and promotional purposes. It will get some love and be cleaned up a bit.

Recommendations
As much as I'd love to have everything maxed, we will all be bound by our computers. The game itself is pretty resource hungry (especially in the bigger factories), so trying to balance everything, is my main goal. Obviously, I can't test it on other hardware, as simply I'm not rich enough lol, that's why below, you can find my settings I use, for my gameplay, and these are "the base" I use, for fine tuning this guide.

Personal settings

Performance Impact
My rig

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (3.6-4.2GHz)
GPU: AMD Radeon 5700XT (Custom fan curve, a bit underclocked)
RAM: 32GB (3200 MHz)

Goal

I'm going for stable 60fps on 1920x1080px with upscaling (FSR3 - 70%).

Frame Generation has been disabled, and I'm gonna try to fine tune the guide for use without FG on my rig, although for my normal gameplay, I do tend to enable it, so keep that in mind.

Let's go deeper - 'you cant run my settings so you had do downscale' - and yet your latest Lumen tweaks are still so low, for someone who makes 'max graphics guide' and has a latest RTX card... Coincidence?

Please, leave the personal attacks aside and focus on the facts. If you believe you have a legitimate case, feel free to escalate through the proper channels, but I'm done entertaining baseless accusations and cheesy ways of trying to attack me on an emotional level. It is simply disgusting and cheap.

Linking your guide in the past was done out of courtesy to you and players with high-end hardware, but it's amusing you'd now twist that into 'using your guide as a baseline'. On top of that, it was prior to creation of the mod, which allows users to customize the settings to their own liking.

As for the quality of the guide or 'potato' settings – it's not about running the 'highest' settings at all costs. It's about providing balanced and optimized configurations that work for a range of players, including those without high-end hardware. Additionally, with the settings I added to the modification, players can choose exactly what kind of config works best for them and their hardware. I stand by the value my mod provides, and if you think it's inferior, that's your opinion - but it's clear the players appreciate it for what it is.

Regarding my recent updates to GitHub - the decision to hide future config files was specifically made to prevent situations, where work may be used without proper credit. That decision doesn't reflect 'the line I took,' but rather a precautionary measure to protect the work going forward.

I’m not interested in escalating this further, but I’d appreciate a simple and proper acknowledgment for the effort I put into the og work.

Thanks for taking the time to line everything up. I'm pretty confident that comparing the versions of both guides, as well as the timeline of changes, will make it clear where the values originated. The tweaks in question were openly available in my guide prior to the update where I transitioned the focus to the mod. It seems they conveniently appeared in your guide just some time after that... Needlessly to say, it happens that you update your guide just in time, when I come back after some break from working on the mod.

Dragging pobkac into this - How am I supposed to know if it's actually the truth, an excuse? Where did pobkac's values originated from in that case?

All I know is that I can congratulate on using LLMs/ChatGPT for research.

And they have removed their own comments...

I can't be bothered talking with someone who deletes both their own comments here but also tries to censor literally anything I say on your workshop page, without even any explanation or asking "what do I mean" via DMs...

Just for context: My comment saying "Interesting..." was removed. And that was the moment I just knew that something is fishy. After that, this person also decided to remove my "friendly reminder", that people are watching, and from that point I will also be watching closely. Along with that, I clearly stated that if that comment also gets removed, I will take action against that.

Now I hope it's more clear, why the situation has escalated.

That just means some spot has been hit and actually, a contrario to what I've said in my comment (this page) earlier, I will take actions against this whole situation.

Yes, definitely. While you were focusing on general settings, my focus was on Lumen. And suddenly in your latest update, there's just plenty of Lumen-related settings, with most being same *exact* values I had before in my guide/or posted elsewhere as a part of TGO.

So if it doesn't work... How did you test it "heavily"? My dear friend, users aren't likely to lie. On top of that, even if you wish to believe that users can lie - Screenshots can't.

I don't wish to be successful... Although 15k downloads - well, that's a success in my books.

Thankfully there are plenty ways to verify many of your statements wrong, and since you came here to express what you believe (Obviously I'm not going to remove your comments, as I said in your comment section [the comment you removed] - I hate censorship and removing comments, especially if they aren't mean, hurtful or hateful), you are free to do so.

Hi, sorry for not taking care of this guide, but all my efforts went into the mod. It's hard supporting both versions and since some people are taking credit for my work and findings, without even changing anything at all, I will be closing some parts of the source code (that includes .ini tweaks). I will try to create a docs page for mod settings only, but that's the most I can offer.

I won't be getting into legal battles over some simple UE5 configs because that's simply laughable...
But anyways, that just feeds my ego further, as it seems that the work I've done is good enough to copy it lol

Please add the original list of settings back into the post. That should remain for posterity, even though you want to push people to your mod. I do not want to run a mod, and some of those settings were helpful to reference.

It looks very grainy and several lights wont turn on without refreshing the settings but then lights that were lit up dont light up afterwards
How would i go about fixing this?
