"It's been 4 years since we last got updates on Kyrieru's (the dev) blog or any other kind of social media, they've been gone for way too long, enough to raise red flags. Since Twitter (or X) has been banned on Brazil I cannot check if there's been any news so far, but I'm not so confident about it anymore.

I'm not sure if we'll ever get any kind of official notice, I do hope so. I believe they were struggling with a massive respiratory disease for quite some time, most of their work breaks were related to the treatment, and anytime we'd get a tweet it would be about how bad the pain was.

It was clear that they were passionate about their work as a game dev, unfortunately many of his games were still incomplete and most likely will not see the light of day; too bad. I was specially excited for the 3D game on the making, as there are so many games out there in the genre that simply don't do it right (I don't think I've ever been 100% satisfied with any of them. And if someone could do it right, I know it would be Kyrieru, they were a genius).

I have changed my profile pic for the one they used on WordPress (same place I got the memorial art), it'll be my way of mourning and making sure there's still a piece of them around, at least for a few more decades.

Kyrieru, I wholeheartedly hope you'll prove this memorial unnecessary.
