Welcome aesthetic/retro clicker aficionados, we're here to talk about cassette tapes. No, not the VHS (Video Home System) tapes the game has you clicking on! We're talking about the audio cassette tapes you can get as drops in-game to change the music!

Okay, now that the optional history lesson is over, let's jump straight into the cassettes and the music they play!

There are currently 4 ways in which you can obtain cassettes.

1. As an in-game drop just for playing the game. VHS Steam store page

2. Buy a tape from the community market. VHS Community Market

3. Buy from the official VHS Item Store on the game's store page VHS Item Store

4. Buy DLC that contains unique tapes. VHS DLC Store

Are you wondering how to change and cycle through the cassettes you already have obtained?

The game will automatically cycle through the cassettes you've obtained, though will always start with Synthwave Cassette No.1 (HOME - RESONANCE) after loading the game, restarting the app after hitting 1B, or refreshing your inventory.

There are currently two ways to change the current cassette/music.

    
1. Click START, go to INVENTORY, navigate to the CASSETTE page, and then click on the cassette of your choice. The name of the artist and track will be shown at the bottom of and in the middle of the taskbar.
       
2. Click START, go to SETTINGS, select the cassette of your choice on the right side of the settings menu and select it to play ▶️. Use the ⏮️ and ⏭️ to cycle through the cassettes you own. Note: The pause ⏸️ does not function. You will need to lower the music volume to silence the music or simply choose a different cassette.

Note: Going to the collections page to select a cassette will not play the cassette, it will only take you to the community market page for that cassette.
