My team just opens fire on 1 little scout and miss every shot so it calls a drop ship lol

You actually can, as long as you are not spotted or fired a shot with your guns in the vicinity of unaware enemies, you're invisible until then. Scout armor adds more to it and hiding in plants that slow you down makes you almost invisible.

Before it seemed to be if one player alerts enemy, they knew where you were regardless.
