This adds a large selection of effects to Gmod's default Emitter STool. such as new muzzle flashes, bullet impacts, tracers, water, and fire effects. Currently, there are over 40 effects in total, a mix of stock Garry's Mod/Half-Life 2 effects and custom LUA particles I made to compliment the stock effects.

Also included are a handful of particles from Counter Strike: Source, Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Team Fortress 2, including the Team Fortress 2 blood effect edited to not replace the stock blood! These will only show if you have the respective games mounted in Gmod. No other games are required to use this tool, as it automatically detects what games (if any) you have mounted and adjusts the selection of available effects as needed. Most of the new effects should be compatible for a completely default Gmod with no other games mounted.

This does not replace the Emitter STool, just adds new effects for it to use. Not a single line of code was modified in the STool itself. This helps keep the addon clean and future-proof against Gmod updates and other mods that may change the emitter's functions.

There should be no missing texture issues as any particles that require another game will not show unless you have the respective game installed and mounted. As most of the effects use the stock Gmod textures, most custom texture or effect replacements will apply to the effects used with this tool.


NOTES/ISSUES

- Many effects are affected by the scale setting, and depending on the effect the scale setting may also change the effect's speed, lifetime, and amount of particles. Some effects may not look correct unless you set the "Delay" setting very low.

- The "Enhanced Muzzleflash" has two features over the normal effect: Dynamic Lighting, and Smoke. The Combine Muzzleflash also has Dynamic Lighting. Note that Dynamic Lights on these effects will only show if Garry's Mod is running in DirectX 9 mode or higher.

- For those concerned about performance, none of effects included should be more expensive or taxing than the regular HL2/Gmod effects. Some effects may be lower detail unless you are running Garry's Mod in DirectX 9 mode or higher. If you do have issues with lag, raise the "Delay" setting so the effect won't repeat so quickly.

- Due to limitations with the Emitter STool, the tracers do not move as their collisions with the environment, characters, etc are not working or don't look good.

- You may notice some red text if you check the console that says things like "failed to load particle effect "whatevernamehere.pcf"" or "failed to precache particle effect "whatevernamehere"" . This is due to the way the Emitter STool was coded to detect .pcf particles. These are not actual issues and does not affect any actual particle usage. These messages will not display after the initial map load.

- For particles and features that go beyond the limited feature set of the Emitter STool, I highly recommend using the Advanced Particle Controller alongside this tool. In fact, as of recent updates you can now use Extended Emitter effects in the Advanced Particle Controller should you have both addons installed.

@scientist: You probably have some kind of texture pack or effects pack installed that changes how the flames look. All the effects here were built with the standard textures in mind.

Never mind what I said, it turns out I just unknowingly uninstalled it and somebody pointed it out for me.

Laserbeams should be fixed now. The issue only happened with the Emitter tool while the Advanced Particle Controller was fine so it took a bit to track down.
