How to ACTUALLY win Almost every Dark and Darker Match

This guide will explain to you how to win most fights in solo's duo's or trio's.

First off this guide is mainly for non-free to play players but can also be used in free to play.

Step 1.

Step 1. Know your character and play as a team.

Ok, so first off you want to start by knowing your characters strengths and weaknesses, there are multiple youtube videos on how to play certain classes, for example I mainly play barbarian.

Barbarian has high HP, some good abilities and can wield most 2H weapons.

In solos for barbarian you want to take the ability Rage, and Achilles Strike.
you NEED: Beserker, and Robust.
and optionals: axe specialisation, iron will, crush, treacherous lungs.

movement speed is key in dark and darker, the faster you can run away/run towards you opponent you win easier.

If you're playing in a team try to hold a point where enemies are coming from ex. a door, DONT rush in thats stupid, you want to hold a point and then with all your team members kill the person whos rushing the door.

Step 2.

Step 2. Bring healing.

Healing is very important: Bandages, Healing potions, Armor potions.

Before/after a fight try to heal up as fast as possible and only fight if you're full HP.

Step 3.

Step 3.Kill enemies then loot.

Don't try to greed on loot, kill your enemies first then loot, be sure to check if no one's closeby before you loot.

Step 4.

Step 4. Play it safe & Map knowledge.

Never engage in a fight you think you can lose, Aim for headshot only.
Try catching your enemies off-guard there's no fall damage so jump them from above if you can. If you hear enemies try to stand behind a door or in the dark, turn torches off, and do your buffs and run in and kill them.

Map knowledge

have a second monitor with this map:
Look at your map in game and check if it correlates with any of the maps
Crypt 1 or 2 or 3 etc..

You can use this map to see where enemies, loot , respawn altars are and much more, its basically a must.

After a while you know where what is but just keep it in mind.

Where can you find the rafts that are team exits?

Ok, so theres 2 ways to escape,
1 with static exits
-rafts (team exit, comes by every 2-3 mins)
-ropes (solo exit (DOESNT RESPAWN))
-staircases usually opens when ~5 mins are left or less(solo exit(closes after someone goes in))
-elevators (team exit(doesnt respawn))

and we have portals
these spawn at certain locations marked with a blue stone like thing.
when the match is almost over ~5 mins left or less they go out of the ground and you can open them 3 spawn at each blue stone things, you need to open the portal to go through them and escape and only 1 person can enter each portal.
