Self-introduction
Hello! Are you searching for an accurate ursus bluegem ranking guide and finding no luck? Congrats, you've found the right place! This guide was written by sparky and nosound. We put a lot of effort into sorting out the patterns and screened them several times to get the current ultimate version.

Between sparky and nosound, we have owned several higher tier ursus bluegems. Notably patterns 494, 575, and 770. Sparky and nosound have years of experience with the bluegem market, and as such we are confident in our ability to dictate the top and "desirable" patterns.

What is this ranking based on?

Sparky and nosound expect to get lots of questions regarding the order of our list. for example, why 770 is above 618, as such we will confront that head-on.

This ranking is based on four major factors, playside blue coverage, overall playside blue percentage as calculated by csbluegem.com, pattern popularity + overall recognition (otherwise can be seen as desirability), and overall positioning and arrangement of blue/purple/white on the knife. We did not spend time looking at the backside patterns because rankings for backside gems are completely different

in the aforementioned example of 770 over 618 we elected to put 770 above 618 simply because while they have similar sky blue quantities, a blue tip of the knife will always be more desirable than a gold tip, even in cases where the blue quantity is roughly the same.

Why only top 15?
If we were to go through and list every possible bluegem this list would be in the hundreds, for a knife to be a bluegem it must have 60%+ coverage of the knife with blue whether it is skyblue blaze or otherwise. You can try to check it in workshops or servers, but you will find that there are hundreds of case hardened patterns that can be regarded as "blue gems". Therefore, in order to remove ambiguity and make our guide easier to understand, we chose to only name the top 15 that we think are exceptional.

Why are there multiple patterns in the same ranking?
As you might have noticed already, starting from p11, multiple patterns will appear under one ranking. This is because on the ursus there are many patterns with similar blue quantities and it is subjective as to which pattern you may like more. There are very many similar patterns as you go lower down on the rankings. For example, some people may prefer blue tip, others may prefer blue bottom, or some people may value the uniformity and cleanliness of a pattern more. Therefore, we put multiple patterns below top11 and beyond. These patterns are in no particular order, as long as they are in the same ranking. As a buyer this ensures you will always be able to find a gem at a competitive price point.

An actual good guide here, I bought and sold my ft #652. Dec 2023 and March 2024 for around $800 USD. Similar period of time ft #112 was sold for around $800 to 920 USD. Just an additional for people doing the research on the price.
