First things first, we must look at the basics.
See that templates the game gives you? As always, these templates are absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ so you must forget them.

Now, let's get technical, when making a navy or ships you must take in account this stats:

-Light Attack
-Heavy Attack
-Anti air (In some cases where you don't have air superiority)
-Depth Charges (when you make destroyers to annihilate submarines)

People may lie to you saying that torpedo attack and speed are also important stats but this is only PROPAGANDA, they don't affect the naval combat at all, they're important but in multiplayer mods like TFB, Horst, LW, etc etc etc.

So, now that we looked at the basics, let's learn how to rule the seas.

In a navy you have:

-Capital Ships (Battlehips, Carriers, Battlecruisers, Heavy Cruisers)
-Screens (Destroyers, Cruisers)
-Submarines (Normal Submarines, Cruiser Submarines, Midget Submarines)

With all these types of ships the naval system must be very complicated, right? No.
Let me explain, what you need in a navy is Battleships, Carriers, Cruisers and then you spam Destroyers.
If you're a major naval power like the USA, UK or Japan It's always good to have this balance in your navy:

-5 to 7 Battleships or Battlecruisers
-4 Carriers
-30 to 45 Cruisers
-+50 Destroyers
-At least 400 Naval Bombers With air superiority

Italy It's an special case, as they have already a lot of Capital Ships, you must prioritize:

-At least 40 Cruisers
-Spam Destroyers after you have your Cruisers ready
-And a LOT, a LOT of Naval Bombers, as you don't have Carriers (Unless you build one or two)

If you're not one of the previously mentioned countries, then you must spam Submarines or try to make a navy like the Italian one (A good ammount of Capital ships, then screens and a lot of planes)


Yes, It make sense, let me explain It to you, the guys who will make all the hard work are your Cruisers and Destroyers, Cruisers will destroy the enemy screens with their overwhelming Light Attack and your Destroyers die as a meat shield to the enemy Light Attack, sacrifying for the rest of your navy, and last but not least, your capital ships will sink the heavy ships with their... Heavy Attack, or the planes that are assisting you in the naval battle.

I showed you how to rule the seas, but you may be wondering: Yeah but what templates do i make?

DON'T WORRY PAL! THIS SECTION IS FOR YOU!

So first, let me show you how to make good Capital Ships:



When making Capital Ships, you must aim for high Heavy Attack and a lot of Hangars.

And now, Screens:



When making Cruisers you must aim to stack a lot of Light Attack, and when making Destroyers, just make the cheapest possible.

Last but not least, Submarines:




When making subs, you must aim for the best torpedoes and the maximum range possible.

Ah! and let's not forget about naval bombers.




Basically aim for the air-ground radar as it facilitates the task of killing submarines and gives you a better naval attack overall.
