Introduction and Tips
Palworld has a lot of mechanics. Because of this, it can be difficult to figure out what the player is supposed to focus on. Palworld's progression is solely built around the player's level, which means that not much can be accomplished until the next time the player levels up.

This guide is designed to give the player a list of ideas of what to do at each player level. It is far from exhaustive, but instead is designed to focus on the most important goals of each level. Treat it more as a catalog than a guide. The guide is written in Player Level order, but you can find it sorted by category at the bottom.

Let me know if you have any suggestions or questions!

Adjust your EXP Rate
Every guide and article on Palworld mentions this, but that's because it's so important. The game gets extremely wearisome around Level 35. Incrementing your Player Level becomes a very slow process. You can remedy this by adjusting the EXP Rate in your world settings on the world select screen. The default value is 1, so increasing it to 2 or 3 will make the game feel much less tedious. Once you've done this, I recommend catching pals and defeating Alpha Pals to really boost your experience gain.

Adjust Death Penalty
In Singleplayer, the penalty for dying is pretty pointless. As soon as you die, you will immediately warp back to where you were and collect your supplies. This frustration can be removed by using another world setting. Change the Death Penalty setting to 'No drops.'

Save your Tech Points
Technically, tech points are a renewable resource. You can get them by leveling up, defeating Alpha Pals and bosses, and activating Eagle Statues. You can also get them by consuming Technical Manuals, which are rare pal drops. Despite this, you need to hold onto your tech points. There are many items in the Technology tab that are not essential to progression. If you don't want or need a certain unlock, then don't unlock it. Save your tech points for something more valuable later.
