How to get items
To get items just load up the game and you will get a random item every 30 minutes. I'd recommend opening task manager and setting its priority to Low and its CPU affinity to just be 1 core as well as putting it into economy mode so that it uses as few system resources as possible and just runs.

One tactic I do to make it use less GPU is either walk to the corner of the map and looking into the void, or jumping into the void then putting it to the side of my monitor and letting it run.

Drops are randomized but I have a feeling if someone were to know more than I on game hacking especially with unity there are probably ways to get it to give you a specific item or possibly even give drops that bypass the 30m drop time but that's out of my scope of knowledge. But card drops are randomized and are done so on Valve's end and not the game devs end, but there are many quirks with the card system as some drop after 5m of gameplay and some wait until after 2h of gameplay, its all very weird.

Oh interesting! So you are saying card drops are not necessarily randomised, I see alright. I get what you are saying overall. Thanks for entertaining this discussion!:sothappy:

Cards are something on steams client end so it's given when you hit certain playtime based on steam criteria, it's different when it's a games criteria as there is no way for the game to say hey give me item in list if it's never making that call, it's basically the equivalent to an achievement, it's also why if you use a tool like SAM to unlock an achievement that gives an item you don't get the item until after you launch the game again because the inventory items are tied to the game making the calls

I’ve seen people speak about idling to get cards, but it doesn’t then apply to drops? Since you’re saying that’s from within the game

Apart from what you have mentioned, so basically like running the game but not actually running it

Oh wow okay! Thanks Nitoned I never knew. Was busy in the process of installing an idler. So there are no easy alternatives? Being one that uses less system resources for a drops?

Magni idlers don't work for ingame drops as it's code that runs from within the game that tells the server to check eligibility for a drop, idlers like ASF just count as playtime, my source is that I have an account with ~600h but has only gotten 20 drops from when I had it open myself

Or just use an idler
tnx
