"Albert Wesker is a major character in the Resident Evil series of survival horror games.

Wesker's debut was in the original Resident Evil as the captain of S.T.A.R.S. and field leader of its Alpha Team unit. It isn't until the end of the game, that Wesker's true motives and occupation are revealed to the rest of the S.T.A.R.S. Since then, Wesker has had several appearances throughout the subsequent games in the series, and is considered to be the series' most well-known villain.
It should be noted that Wesker seems to only have loyalty to himself and William Birkin and seems to be playing all sides to his own advantage. He is seemingly trying to sell data and samples between competitors, like a weapons dealer selling to multiple factions, in order to gain a competitor's access to more opportunities to acquire additional data and samples. Wesker amassed a wealth of combat data on various B.O.W.s and mutants. He also has a large array of biological samples, possibly more than is known. And since the fall of Umbrella in 2003, he has acquired all of Umbrella's investigation and assets, including all of the company's information concerning the B.O.W.s and the viral research.

Wesker is a true Renaissance man. He is proficient in the fields of science, research, observation, biology, virology, bioengineering, evolution, combat, martial arts, marksmanship, weapons, tactics, police procedure, espionage, murder, subterfuge, blackmail, opportunity, planning, persuasion, arms dealing, double-cross and even extra-sensory perception. Due to his viral genetic mutations, Wesker has superhuman strength, speed, agility, resistance and regenerative immortality.

Wesker wears a leather jacket/coat. He always keeps his trademark sunglasses, even in situations that seem inappropriate, such as during S.T.A.R.S. operations in the middle of the night. During the original Resident Evil, he was shown in a group photo with several other lab researchers; his sunglasses give him a distinct (some might say jarring) contrast from the rest of the group. In the original Resident Evil and the prequel Resident Evil 0, he wears a standard S.T.A.R.S. uniform similar to those of Chris and Barry, but completely black, with a navy blue undershirt. He also gained a battle damage on his stomach when he was impaled by the T-002's arm.

He wears a more streamlined outfit in Resident Evil Code Veronica X with the acronyms HCF (Hive or Host Capture Force) written on the back. During a fist-fight with Chris Redfield, his sunglasses are knocked from his face, revealing that his eyes have changed from normal human eyes to slitted eyes with a red-orange hue. In Resident Evil The Darkside Chronicles while observing the battle between Leon S. Kennedy and Jack Krauser against the mutated Javier Hidalgo, Wesker wears an outfit similar to his standard S.T.A.R.S. uniform.

He wears a different, more sophisticated outfit during his appearance in both Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 4, sporting a black turtleneck sweatshirt, black trousers and leather jacket over his turtleneck, as well as black leather gloves. The outfit generally enhances Wesker's appearance, that of an intimidating villain, adding an assassin-like touch. Indeed, his new attire seems to hint at a general ascension in social ranking and favour among general peers. Whereas previously he seemed to function as an undercover policeman, his role within the Resident Evil world now seems more akin to that of an experienced spy, or even a super villain. He later wears this on his portrait along with Alex Wesker in Barry's story in Resident Evil: Revelations 2.

In the 2023 remake version of Resident Evil 4, his black turtleneck is replaced with a dark gray long sleeved button-up shirt beneath his black formal vest which is partially opened and has equipped with a brown shoulder holster on his vest as the sleeves of his button-up shirt is now folded into cuffs. He also wears dark gray formal slacks and black loafers.

In Resident Evil 5, Marvel VS Capcom 3 and its updates and Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite, he wears a black long trench-coat with a black skin-tight leather turtleneck with zippers below his chest along with a matching black shoulder holster where he keeps his guns and the sleeves just reach through his mid forearm, black skin-tight leather pants with a matching black belt with pockets in each sides along with a silver buckle in the center and black high boots. He is also wears a pair of black gloves and his wears sport sunglasses. He also retains his handgun when he gunpoints at Chris. During his fight with Chris in the temple, he resembles his HFC uniform from Resident Evil Code Veronica X. This outfit was also worn by Shawn Roberts in the live action films Resident Evil Afterlife, Resident Evil Retribution and Resident Evil The Final Chapter. When he got injected by Chris to make him weaker twice, his slitted eyes became more apparent than before and it was red until he discarded his sunglasses.

When he bonds with the Uroboros Virus during his final battle with Chris and Sheva, he was in shirtless and was covered with several tentacles all over his upper chest and also exposes his weak spot on his left chest. His right arm was embedded with blades and can elongate like a whip. When being damaged, his left arm is mutated like his right arm and his slitted eyes becoming glowing red.

In his playable appearance in Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D and Resident Evil: Revelations 2 during Raid Mode, Albert is depicted on his outfit in Resident Evil 5 but without his trenchcoat."
