MANN FAMILY
Zepheniah Mann was a wealthy Englishman with two sons — Blutarch and Redmond. They persuaded their father to purchase a large plot of land in the border regions of America, which Zepheniah intended to turn into extensive gravel pits for weapon manufacturing. After acquiring the land, Zepheniah decided to tour his holdings and, during his journey, fell seriously ill. It also became apparent that the land he had bought was completely worthless. Shortly after, he passed away, leaving a will with the following provisions:

  • He bequeathed his estate to his servant Elizabeth.
  • To his assistant Barnabas Hale (ancestor of Saxton Hale), he left full control of his company, Mann Co.
  • For his sons, Blutarch and Redmond, he left the "greatest curse on Earth" — a partnership. All new lands they convinced him to buy were to be divided equally, giving the sons constant reasons to quarrel. They lingered in existence for a long time due to the immortality machines crafted by Radigan Conagher but were eventually killed by Zepheniah's third son, Gray Mann."

Moreover, he cursed all those who wield weapons near his grave and will haunt those who dared such a brazen act. In the Halloween version of the Harvest map, you can encounter his ghost, which will pursue players and scare them.

Silas Mann
Is the brother of Zepheniah. He was a co-owner of Zepheniah's conglomerate, which eventually became Mann Co. It was Silas Mann who introduced Keys and Supply Crate for sale.
He died shortly after his brother and appears as a boss – the Headless Horseless Horsemann — on the Mann Manor map.

Blutarch and Redmond Man

Sons of Zepheniah, owners of BLU and RED. Two brothers, warring against each other for their father's lands for an entire century. Managed to outlive three generations of mercenaries, each consisting of 9 participants. Fought against each other for over 100 years, and to continue their war, they turned to Radigan Conagher to create immortality machines for them, which eventually succeeded. In 1972, the brothers were lured into negotiations, which ultimately concluded with a truce and the idea to create a machine that would allow one of them to become pregnant, ensuring the Mann lineage would not disappear. However, the idea was thwarted by Gray Mann, who orchestrated the meeting, killed both brothers, and seized their companies.

Gray Mann
Zepheniah's third son, the physically weakest child but the most intelligent of the trio of brothers, demonstrated exceptional speaking abilities from infancy. Due to a strong aversion to a talking infant, Zepheniah initially wanted to strangle him, but the child was saved by an eagle, which eventually raised him. As Gray Mann grew older, he consumed the eagle and its chicks, setting out to conquer civilization. Eventually, he killed Blutarch and Redmond, seizing their companies for himself. He created an army of robot mercenaries to annihilate Mann Co. branches.

Olivia Mann
Gray Mann's daughter, the owner of the «Gray Gravel Co» from Gray. After defeating Saxton Hale, she became the CEO of Mann Co."

ADMINISTRATION AND STORE P.1
The Administrator
The Administrator, also known as Helen and sometimes referred to as the «TF Announcer» or simply the «Announcer», serves as the CEO of both RED (Reliable Excavation Demolition) and BLU (Builders League United), as well as TF Industries. She is the source of the mysterious voice that announces events during matches. The Administrator has a piercing gaze and a commanding voice that demands complete obedience. Her overall demeanor tends towards mild anger or various stages of bitter disappointment.

It is likely that Helen is a descendant of Elizabeth (Zepheniah Mann's servant). The Administrator's in-game appearance has a long history. It all began with a fan sketch by the artist MacEwan, which quickly spread across the internet, gaining popularity. Following these events, the artist was invited to Valve's office, and the idea was purchased. Several months later, during the Halloween update reveal, a woman with an almost identical appearance stood next to Zepheniah Mann in a family photo. Eventually, on December 9, 2009, the Administrator's appearance was unveiled. It was entirely taken from MacEwan's sketch, with minor changes to her attire.

The Administrator's purple attire reflects her control over the Reds and Blues (the blending of red and blue colors results in purple). Helen also has a fondness for cigarettes, the «Monthly Discipline» magazine, and, according to Saxton Hale, steak for breakfast and intimate relations with robust men. The Administrator may have had a romantic involvement with Saxton Hale, who referred to her as the «smoking seductress».

The Administrator wields significant power. She owns the corporations of both Red and Blue teams, consequently granting her control over all major governments on the planet. She conducts all operations with absolute secrecy, behind the scenes. Any developments that could attract unwanted attention swiftly result in catastrophic consequences.

She communicates with both teams through a single microphone connected to the central control panel. Skillfully manipulating a vast array of plugs and sockets, she can activate multiple communication channels, including those exclusively directed to the Red or Blue team. Her messages are relayed in groups through the Alarm-O-Tron 5000, an acoustic system directly linked to the control of numerous signs indicating varying levels of urgency. The massive monitor in front of her control panel allows her to monitor events at all times. Her exact motives for hiring mercenary teams for deadly encounters on a regular basis remain a mystery. She prefers to execute her actions completely covertly, managing everything from her chair. Any event that might attract unwanted attention is swiftly terminated thanks to her boundless authority.

The Administrator has many employees, including her loyal assistant, Miss Pauling, and several envoys.

It was Helen who pitted the Red Demoman against the Blue Soldier in the "War!" update. The Administrator views friendship between members of opposing companies as a violation of contract terms. After Miss Pauling conveyed her suspicions that the Red Demoman and Blue Soldier had become friends, she opened special communication channels for each of them. Through this, she convinced each to kill their newfound friend to obtain a mysterious new weapon developed by Mann Co. As planned, the friendship was destroyed, initiating a new seven-day war that ended in Soldier's victory.

Additionally, Helen had been collecting Australium for many years, thanks to mercenaries from both teams.

In the original English voice acting, the Administrator is voiced by Ellen McLain, the voice actress for GLaDOS in the Portal game series and the Civil Protection announcement in Half-Life 2.

Miss Pauling
Miss Pauling - the dedicated assistant to the Administrator. She is responsible for carrying out various tasks, such as unscheduled inspections, order and delivery of goods, opening communication channels, and assassinations. Typically, Miss Pauling shares the Administrator's views out of fear of incurring her wrath, even when she may not entirely agree with them. Despite her boss's stern nature, Miss Pauling insists that Helen is «not so bad if you get to know her».

The Scout expresses romantic interest in Miss Pauling, which she tries her best to ignore.

WAR! UPDATE
The Administrator deems inter-team friendship a profound breach of trust, unacceptable according to the contract. During a routine inspection, Miss Pauling uncovered the friendly bond between the Red Demoman and Blue Soldier, promptly bringing it to her boss's attention. By her strict orders, Miss Pauling personally delivered a large quantity of specially ordered explosive weapons from Mann Co. to the Demoman in exchange for his agreement to kill his friend - the Soldier. As intended, this swiftly shattered their budding friendship and initiated a seven-day war.

Director
The Administrator hired the Director to capture everything the Red Team mercenaries could say about their work. Miss Pauling considered the surveillance unnecessary due to the low intelligence of the mercenaries but secretly watched the interviews. She assured the team that the collected material was merely a publicity stunt, aimed at improving the mercenaries' reputation in the eyes of Badlands residents. After gathering all the recordings, the Administrator tasked Miss Pauling with taking an "interview" from the Director himself. This meant luring him into an abandoned mine, where Miss Pauling pursued him with a charged-up Enormous Knife, a shovel, and a bag of quicklime. Nothing has been heard about the Director since.

Smissmas Miracle
When the Scout, Soldier, and Spy of the Blue team were sentenced to perform community service at a shopping center, Miss Pauling was shown talking on the phone with the Spy, who asked her for help in obtaining early release. Miss Pauling inquired about how Soldier became a government defender, but Spy immediately diverted the conversation by mentioning that Soldier's neighbor is a magician. She asked him not to let their problem escalate, and Spy assured her of compliance, watching as Soldier beat up someone's angry father. After the sudden appearance of Old Nick, Miss Pauling instructed Spy to "take care" of him quickly. What is horrifying is that, following his plan, Spy involved a little boy in the matter instead of simply keeping him safe.

Miss Pauling (Continued)
NEW ASSIGNMENT
While Saxton Hale is busy battling a yeti, Mann Co. comes under attack by Grey Mann's army of robots. Miss Pauling shows the mercenaries a pre-recorded cassette where Hale informs them that they are all fired due to the deaths of the Mann brothers. However, he immediately rehires them to defend the Mann Co. headquarters from the robot attacks. Despite not planning to pay them for the work, Miss Pauling calms the panic and states that somehow the robots operate on stacks of money, which will belong to the mercenaries as soon as they fall out of a destroyed robot. Miss Pauling emphasizes that this battle is not just for Mann Co. or Saxton Hale — it's a fight for their jobs.

Together with the Red Team, Miss Pauling discusses the latest defensive strategy in a dark room somewhere in Coal Town. She tries to figure out which of Mann Co.'s many facilities the Grey Mann robots will attack next and when. Soldier claims to know the exact time and location since he 'supposedly' infiltrated the Grey Mann robot base the day before, but nobody believes him. After some antics (including making Soldier believe that everyone in the room has a genuinely American origin), he mentions eagles that raised Grey Mann. Since only Miss Pauling and the Administrator should know about this, it leads her to think that Soldier might be telling the truth. Soldier reveals the secret: he used a homemade robot costume to sneak into Grey's base unnoticed and eavesdrop on his plans. Miss Pauling asked him to provide the Heavy and the Demoman with similar disguises, and they infiltrated the robot base again.

In Grey's base, the three discover that he is disappointed with the stupidity of his robots and the leakage of information to his 'combat inspirer.' Grey claims to have found a solution to the problem and introduces his newly built Engi-Mech. The new robot activates and immediately detects the intruders.

CONTINGENCY PLAN
After Grey Mann took over Mann Co., Miss Pauling rushed to the Administrator to warn her but found only a recording instructing her to go into hiding. Six months later, she received a task from the Administrator — to gather the mercenaries again. The first person she managed to find was Soldier, whom she encountered in the midst of a self-guided tour of celebrity homes and the murder of Tom Jones. Posing as a police officer, Pauling saved Soldier from legal troubles and recruited him at the same time. Next, she lured Pyro from his position as CEO of "Borderline Design" by setting a massive fire in a nearby building. Demoman, who had gained weight and turned into a lazy alcoholic, willingly joined her team, hoping to get his old job back. While preparing to fly to Siberia for the Heavy, she learned that Scout and Spy were both arrested and sentenced to hanging for vandalism against Teufort.

RESCUE
Postponing the flight to Siberia, Miss Pauling takes the team to Teufort to save Scout and Spy. While Soldier and Pyro delay the trial and execution, Miss Pauling visits the library to destroy records of the Administrator's birth with Pyro's help. She stops the execution of Scout, Spy, Pyro, and Soldier, stating that the mercenaries could not be responsible for various violations in Teufort for which they were going to be executed. Fooling the mayor with a pamphlet, she directs him to the library, followed by all the townspeople, effectively canceling the execution and angering the mob. In private, she admits that the entire population of Teufort is suffering from madness caused by lead poisoning, and therefore, the mercenaries were not blamed for the murders and property damage they had actually committed.

Later, it turns out that Miss Pauling also met with the well-hidden Administrator, who gave her a new order: to obtain the last stash of Australium.

TO AUSTRALIA
Allocating mercenaries to different tasks, Miss Pauling, along with Pyro, searches for Sniper's house in Australia and finds it abandoned. They quickly fall into Sniper's ambush, who learned that Mr. and Mrs. Mundy were not his biological parents and threatens Miss Pauling, demanding information about his true origins. Miss Pauling calms Sniper, telling him that they are heading to meet his real parents, and convinces him to join. Piloting a submarine obtained by Spy and Soldier, Miss Pauling leads the team (without Scout and Heavy) to a submerged city in New Zealand, where the last Australium stash is located. However, Miss Pauling discovers that the stash has been emptied by Sniper's real father, Bill-Bel. Unaware of the metal's potential, he depleted the supplies, painting his prototype rockets that exploded long ago. Sniper's mother escapes with the only functional rocket, leaving Miss Pauling desperate that she failed her mission.

IN THE PLAIN
Along with other mercenaries who were with her, Miss Pauling is captured by the mercenaries of TFC, who begin to torture them for information. Desperate that she failed her mission and her team, Miss Pauling considers Spy's suggestion to end her life, preserving her dignity. However, this is interrupted by the intervention of the Heavy, who is revealed to be a TFC spy trying to save himself. Miss Pauling accidentally reveals the coordinates where she was supposed to meet the Administrator. Before the TFC spy and Demoman can kill them, Soldier and his girlfriend Zhanna appear, killing the TFC mercenaries and bringing the dying Gray Mann to Pauling at his request. Outraged by their mutual animosity and Gray's plea to stop the Administrator, Miss Pauling begins an emotional speech defending her loyalty to the Administrator, mentioning how she willingly lied and killed under the Administrator's command. However, Spy interrupts her halfway, as Gray died, not bothering to hear the end of her speech. The Spy is not too concerned about the hint that Miss Pauling lied to the team.

EXPIRATION DATE
Miss Pauling played a significant role in the SFM short film released with the "Love & War" update. Deceived by the Scout into thinking he wanted to meet her for a date, she arrived at the RED base to help defend the Diplomat. Upon arrival, she was initially concerned that the Diplomat was unharmed but flew into a rage upon learning that the Scout had pressed the alarm button without serious reasons. In anger, she turns away, notices the decorations, and asks if they are having a party. Then, she yells at him for spending her "only day off in the year" and attempts to leave. The Scout tries to reason with her, suggesting they discuss it over dinner, opens the door, and reveals a giant bread monster. Other mercenaries come to help, and Miss Pauling yells at Scout for pressing the alarm button, then notices his death clock and uses it as a timer. She uses a payload cart as a bomb, but she and Scout end up on the other side of the doors. Without saying a word, Scout and Miss Pauling jump into the bread monster when the payload cart explodes. They survive, and Scout invites Miss Pauling on a date.
ADMINISTRATION AND STORE P.3
The Administrator's Envoy
The Administrator's Envoy is a mysterious figure hired by the Administrator to convey messages through miniature television sets. He was first noticed at the Blue Soldier's apartment, delivering a message through the Administrator's TV monitor, as shown in the 'War!' update. The goal was to turn the Blue Soldier against his friend, the Red Demoman, and to make the Blue Soldier believe that the Red Demoman is a spy for TF Industries.

The second envoy was seen in the comic 'Meet the Director,' being killed by the Red team during an interrogation attempt. In response, the Administrator complained that dead couriers do not come back, implying that there have been several envoys before, and mercenaries have a habit of shooting them.

The Administrator's Envoy first appeared in the 'War!' comic.

Store
Barnabus Hale
Barnabus Hale was an American settler in the 19th century, hired as an aide and trapper by Zepheniah Mann. After Betty dies during childbirth, he is revealed to be the only one mourning her death. Later, Hale inherited Mann Co. after Zepheniah's demise. He is a relative of Saxton Hale, presumably his grandfather, and shares an extremely macho personality with his grandson. Barnabus Hale was first depicted in the Mann family portrait. Additionally, Barnabus Hale was featured in the comics Blood Brothers and A Cold Day in Hell. A portrait of Barnabus can be found in the Elder's Manor on the Coal Town map. There is a river named after Barnabus Hale.

Billius Hale
In the early 1900s, Billius Hale was the owner of Coal Town after Barnabus Hale. During a fatal mine collapse that resulted in the deaths of fourteen workers, Billius managed to escape but couldn't evade the press. In March 1922, Billius Hale closed down the coal-operated mines and factories, marking 50 years since their establishment. However, in one room, the very first piece of coal was left in a 'historical storage cabinet,' implying that the items in it are currently unnecessary but are being preserved for future use. Throughout his life, Billius had one of the first telephones, connecting him with Redmond Mann, Blutarch Mann, U.S. President Alexander Graham Bell, presumably the Administrator's predecessor.

Saxton Hale
Saxton Hale is a daring Australian, the president, and CEO of Mann Co., a star in numerous comic series, and a playable boss character in the "Vs. Saxton Hale" game mode. He is considered the fourth richest person in the United States. He was initially the sixth richest but surpassed the fifth richest and fourth richest by killing them in a harpoon duel. His favorite activities include brawls, drinking, and battling fierce animals. In fact, most children sleep with a teddy bear, but Saxton Hale sleeps with a real bear that he tamed in the Brazilian jungle. His distinctive features include bold mustaches, wavy muscles, a hat with a crocodile tooth lining, and a chest hair spot in the shape of Australia. He also refuses to wear clothing on the upper body "for obvious reasons." Saxton is the last of the Hales to take the reins of Mann Co. since Zepheniah Mann left it to his faithful aide and protégé Barnabus Hale in his last will and testament. His boisterous presence is felt in all aspects of the company, from the slogan "We sell products and fight" to Gorilla Wrestling Fridays – his attempts to boost employee morale. He also fills out forms for customers, checking boxes to either intimidate competitors stealing products or praise new inventors who suggested an idea for a new product. His inspiring image is also present in numerous Mann Co. catalogs and promotional materials. He is known (and feared) for his belief in handling customer service issues personally. His official policy states: 'If you're not 100% satisfied with our product line, you can discuss it with me!

Mr. Bidwell
Mr. Bidwell is one of Saxton Hale's assistants, along with Mr. Reddy. His duties include preparing meals for Hale (including the morning steak) and interacting with clients. Mr. Bidwell is the creator of the new look of the Mann Co. Weapon Catalog and serves as a liaison between various product manufacturers and Mann Co. During his initial appearance, Bidwell sported a mustache, but he later shaved it off.
Saxton Hale sent Bidwell to Sarif Industries, under the pretext of discussing future partnerships in biotechnology development. While Sarif representatives were considering the contract terms, Bidwell absconded with a crate full of weapons, which he later rebranded and named the "Mannotech" set. He openly reported this to Saxton, who responded by telling him to stop "writing down such things."
Bidwell, along with Reddy, risked being fired for suggesting free weapon trials and much of the Manniversary updates and sales. They introduced new hats and miscellaneous slot items on the Manniversary updates and sales page until Saxton Hale abruptly interrupted them with his dilemma of where to hide a dead ostrich.
Mr. Bidwell first appeared in the "War!" comic.

Mr. Reddy
Mr. Reddy is one of Saxton Hale's assistants, alongside Mr. Bidwell. His responsibilities include handling Mann Co. accounts and taking Hale's calls. Following Hale's orders, Mr. Reddy sent congratulatory bouquets and "You are dead" letters to the five richest people in America. During his initial appearance, Reddy wore mustaches shaped like a machine frame, but later shaved them off. When completing the achievement "Mission Accomplished" in the game Spiral Knights, Mr. Reddy sends the player a congratulatory letter along with a Spiral Salad.
Reddy, along with Bidwell, risked being fired for suggesting free weapon trials and much of the Manniversary updates and sales. They introduced new hats and miscellaneous slot items on the Manniversary updates and sales page until Saxton Hale abruptly interrupted them with his dilemma of where to hide a dead ostrich.
Mr. Reddy first appeared in the "War!" comic.

MODERN MERCENARIES P.1
Scout
His real name is Jeremy, 19 years old, born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He is always quick on his feet and can perform a double jump. How did he learn this? He was into sports and always ran everywhere, outrunning everyone until a gang of his seven rowdy older brothers stood up for him. He's used to settling matters with his fists and ending fights by hiding behind his seven brothers. In general, a typical teenager among seventh-graders (this is a joke and has no relation to the dossier). To avoid going to college and to fill his life with adrenaline, he became a mercenary in Team Fortress.

The scout is armed with a scattergun, pistol and bat.

From the game, it can be learned that the Scout doesn't care much about his health and consumes radioactive drinks "Bonk" and "Crit-a-Cola." He doesn't like Spies, but let's admit, nobody likes them. As for his ability to push the bomb for two, no words. In any case, he is capable of doing so and doesn't even break when falling because, why bother with a parachute when you have a double jump? But the energy drinks take their toll, and he is quite frail in terms of health :D

Soldier

His real name is unknown, but Soldier prefers to call himself the fictional character 'Mr. Jane Doe.' He is around 40 years old and was born somewhere in the USA. In the past, he desperately wanted to participate in World War II, but he was rejected from all branches of the US Armed Forces. So, he bought a ticket to Europe, settled in Poland, taught himself to shoot any kind of weapon, and zealously exterminated 'Nazis,' for which he awarded himself medals that he made. However, he was very disappointed and stopped fighting when he learned that the war ended in 1945, while it was already 1949.

Armed with a Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, and Shovel.

Most likely, Soldier never fought, and the 'Nazis' were just a figment of his imagination. However, he is loyal to his homeland and is ready to defend (or kill) anyone. One might say he would make a bad acrobat, but this psychopath not only sees everything through his nose-to-chin helmet but also jumps on rockets. Even a person with normal vision might envy his eyesight. Although, if he had normal vision, he would probably use the grenades on his chest :D. His ability to inspire and boost morale is remarkable, especially when all it takes is a single blow into the pipe. How does it boost morale? Simple, a flag. Anyway, Soldier would make an excellent kamikaze bird. After all, who in their right mind would jump on an idle rocket high into the sky and swing a shovel at full speed on their head.

Pyro
Very little is known about this person – no name, age, or origin. It is known that he used to be a firefighter, but after a fire on an oil rig, he became a pyromaniac. Strange sounds coming from his mask resemble feeble attempts at communication; only occasionally can individual words be discerned. He sets everything and everyone on fire indiscriminately and without any pity. However, in the video 'Meet the Pyro,' it can be understood that he does not do it just because; for him, the whole world looks different, more like a magical dreamland. Where fire and blood are rainbows, and the screams of enemies in pain are mischievous laughter. This world is called 'Pyroland.' It seems like he never takes off his firefighter suit and gas mask. It is also unknown how he eats, or if he eats at all, assuming he is even human.

Pyro is armed with a Flamethrower, Shotgun, and Fire Axe.

The flamethrower is good, especially when it sets enemies on fire. It's great to ignite enemies through the bodies of other enemies, especially if they split open from the axe. It's impossible to imagine Pyro without the flamethrower and his axe, just as you can't imagine Spy without his butterfly knife, well, you can. Especially, he can set a Soldier's heart on fire if he reflects his rocket. Or blew up the Demoman's sticky bombs. Although usually, he sets their fifth points on fire in this way. Generally, Pyro reminisces about the past and sometimes extinguishes enemies with a gasoline can, making them burn even brighter.

Demoman
Real name Tavish Finnegan DeGroot, 43 years old, hailing from the town of Allapool in Scotland. In childhood, due to an accident, lost his parents and an eye. Simply obsessed with explosives, explosive devices, and alcohol, his favorite being Scotch whiskey. He is adept at handling explosives, as his father was a pyrotechnician. Once developed a plan to destroy the Loch Ness Monster, which cost him his adoptive parents. Rumor has it he's cursed because his penchant for explosions is clearly abnormal.

Demoman is armed with a Grenade Launcher, Stickybomb Launcher, and a Bottle of whiskey.

Perhaps Demoman is obsessed with explosions, but it seems he has discovered the secret knowledge of a berserker and runs around with a sword, shouting obscenities. The "squirrel" has never reached the white fever yet. Who knows him, but it seems the loss of an eye has affected his vision, as he doesn't even think to add two more grenades to the six-round grenade launcher. It seems his bottle is with him always and everywhere, and even when it's broken, he willingly takes a sip from it, a few drops mixed with bottle shards. Maybe he's related to the Soldier? His sticky bombs can catapult him into the sky, even when they're empty. Like the Soldier, he could also be a great kamikaze bird with a grenade in his hands. Although, he might die faster from liver cancer.

Heavy
His real name is Mikhail, 45 years old, but he prefers the nickname "Big Gun Specialist." Born in the Jujur Mountains of the Khabarovsk Krai, USSR (now within Russia). In his youth, this sturdy guy served in the Soviet Navy. He knows how to handle guns, but he has always been attracted to "bigger girls." After the collapse of the Soviet Union, his family had nowhere to go, and since the "Iron Curtain" had fallen, he moved to America. Later, he learned English and joined the U.S. Army. Therefore, there was no need to worry about him being equipped with "big guns." He named one of his guns Sasha. Despite the common misconception about Russians, he never drinks and leads a healthy lifestyle, although this didn't stop him from gaining +30 kg during his service in America.

He carries his favorite machine gun "Sasha" and a shotgun. Prefers to fight with his fists.

His slowness might be irritating, but he has a big heart and a big gun. However, his large size is both an advantage in terms of endurance and a disadvantage in terms of being an easy target. His fondness for sandwiches didn't serve him well. Has anyone seen how he reloads?

MODERN MERCENARIES P.2
Engineer
His real name is Dell Conagher, 42 years old. Born in Bi-Cave, Texas, USA. A fairly quiet and calm guy. Holds three advanced degrees in engineering, physics, and electronics. In the past, he worked in the oil fields near Neftekamsk in West Texas for about ten years. This experience allowed his hands and brain to construct several powerful weapons of death and an excellent means of transportation. He loves guns, juicy shashlik, and higher education. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar by the campfire. Character-wise, he may not worry about enemies at all, as his sentry guns won't let them get close.

The Engineer is armed with a shotgun, a pistol, a wrench, and a PDA.

Although the Engineer is a physicist, he seems to have some problems with it. The sentry gun has limited ammunition, which makes sense, but where is it attached? Or rather, where is its ammunition stored, and how is it replenished by a wrench hit? Another point: how does the dispenser work? More precisely, how does it create ammunition? It's like it comes from nothing. Although this violates the law of conservation of energy. It seems like he has a higher education in physics but breaks its laws. Or maybe we don't know anything, and he's the one with three advanced degrees. In any case, it's a vivid example of how higher education came in handy for someone, somewhere.

Medic
Identifying himself as Mr. Ludwig, this 50-year-old field medic hails from Stuttgart, Germany. He holds a higher medical education and worked during the times of World War II, treating wounded Nazis. Growing up when the Hippocratic Oath was more of a formality, his treatment methods are sometimes unethical, and the doctor considers harming the patient merely a side effect of the healing process. He invented the Medi Gun, and to test it, he became a mercenary. From the "Meet the Medic" video, we learn that he lost his medical license, and the doctor himself doesn't mind performing surgery without anesthesia. At the same time, he is quite gallant. Besides, he operated on mercenaries to implant Uber-hearts in them. While his treatment methods are gruesome, he still saves lives. It's remarkable that he got along quite well with the Heavy, as the big guy needs a good doctor. Although their views on life clearly differ.

The Medic is armed with the Syringe Gun, the Medi Gun, and the Bonesaw.

His Syringe Gun probably doesn't pose a threat to the enemy, but a crossbow with a healthy syringe as a projectile is quite a dangerous thing, although allies are more than satisfied. He changes his healing guns like gloves, depending on the situation, of course. Surprisingly, when he heals the Scout with one of the guns, the Medic himself speeds up, apparently to keep up with him. With the Soldier, it's even more interesting – he can fly along with him. His bonesaw can be a quite dangerous weapon; one of his saws collects Über-Charge from enemies, and the other, organs. Disgusting. Oh, right, the Hippocratic Oath is just a formality. Probably, it's not worth going to this doctor for an examination, especially if you are his bitter enemy.

Sniper
At birth, he was given the name Mann-Dii, but he prefers to add the word "Mister" to his name. He is 35 years old and was born in New Zealand, contrary to the misconception that he was born in Australia. More precisely, he lived there for most of his life. Since childhood, he loved hunting, wandering through desolate wastelands, and spending a long time stalking his prey. However, for a very long time, he hunted only crocodiles. When the Sniper became a mercenary, he began hunting people as well. During his hunting trips, he lived in a house on wheels (which the Spy mocks when he gains the upper hand). Yes, the Sniper can't stand Spies.
Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Sniper:
"Cloak yer way outta that, ya filthy spook!"

Armed with a Sniper Rifle, SMG, and Kukri.

Yes, the Sniper has a sniper rifle, but who said he has to have it with him? He skillfully handles a bow and arrows. And do you know what the liquid inside a jarate is? He has to stay in one place for a long time, and human needs have not been canceled. Well, you get the idea. He can also protect himself from a Spy's knife with a shield. Why the Spy doesn't just knock the shield away and then stab, it's unclear. Interestingly, the Sniper considers himself superior to others and treats them with contempt, but he doesn't mind if someone comes to his aid. Although he might just be hiding his displeasure because who is he to have someone help a professional killer, that is, himself.

Spy
Very little is known about him for certain, but what can be said is that he is around 30 years old, enjoys smoking, and is French, although he may not have been born in France. He used to be a contract killer and a secret agent. However, after completing one of the protocols, his contributions ceased to be recognized. This deeply traumatized the Spy, and he fell into a deep depression, losing some of his memories in the process. Yet, he gradually recalls his past and uses disguise to ensure no one exactly unravels him. He prefers to act quietly, not only to avoid exposure but also to prevent anyone from staining his jacket with blood.

Armed with a Revolver, Butterfly Knife, Sappers, Invisibility Watch, and Disguise Kit.

The Spy prefers not to use the revolver, as he is not very good at shooting. Instead, he doesn't mind sitting invisible in one place for who knows how long until he finds a suitable target. In case he is injured, he can feign death and escape while no one is watching. Or, perhaps, cosplay as an assassin from the "Assassin's Creed" game series, jumping on you from a height and thrusting a sharp knife into your back.
CLASSIC MERCENARIES
The mercenaries of Team Fortress Classic were initially hired by Redmond and Blutarch Mann in the 1930s to engage in the Gravel War in New Mexico. This conflict was an endless stalemate where the two brothers sought to outlive each other to claim ownership of the land promised to them in their father's will. Presumably due to their aging, they were replaced by the more iconic mercenaries of Team Fortress 2 in 1968.

Scout TFC
Named Greg, physically he looked like the youngest member of the team. He was considering leaving the battle entirely, abandoning TFC with Ross, a TFC soldier, to create an orphanage. His dialog can be interpreted to make him look like a pedophile. He was killed by a TF2 arsonist in a fiery explosion.

Soldier TFC
Called Ross, he was also considering an orphanage with Greg, a TFC scout. It was filled with gasoline and blown up by a TF2 arsonist.

Pyro TFC
Name was Beatrice, she was an expert in pyrotechnics and torture, taking great pleasure in slowly killing a TF2 soldier. She was killed by his girlfriend Jeanne after being sneaked up on and stuffed in her costume with one of her own incendiary grenades.

Demoman TFC
Name Greg, He was given the task of killing Jeanne, a TF2 soldier, Ms. Poling, a TF2 spy, and a TF2 bomber. He also accomplished very little before being thrown to the ground by Jeanne and then strangled by the TF2 spy with handcuffs tied around his legs.

Heavy TFC
Name unknown, Heavy was the leader and most tactically minded player of Team Fortress Classic. Like the rest of TFC, he was a truly dangerous mercenary, not a dumbass like the TF2 mercenaries. He died after injuries sustained in a fight with a TF2 machine gunner, bleeding to death after Gray Mann's Aussie was extracted from his body.

Engineer TFC
Named Fred he was the team's technical genius. Although he started out as a human, by 1972 he became overweight and replaced his legs with cybernetic ones. His death was never seen, although it is speculated that he was killed off-screen by a TF2 spy so that he could disguise himself as him.

Medic TFC
Name unknown, either retired or died before the events of the Team Fortress 2 comics.

Sniper TFC
Called Virgil, he was best friends with Fred, a TFC engineer, to the point of letting him replace his eyes with cybernetic ones. He had a completely different outlook on his job compared to a TF2 sniper, he liked to make his enemies suffer instead of being cold-blooded and efficient.

Spy TFC
Name unknown, he seemed to be one of the most effective members of Team Fortress Classic, killed only because he was caught off guard by Jeanne hitting him with her bloody severed right arm. He successfully fooled Ms. Poling and TF2 Spy by disguising himself as a TF2 Heavy, an impressive achievement. He also orchestrated the TFC Bomber's plot to assassinate Jeanne, TF2 Soldier, Miss Poling, TF2 Spy and TF2 Bomber. He was killed after TF2 Soldier snapped his neck.

CLOSE ASSOCIATES OF MERCENARIES
Blue Scout's mom
This character is the guardian of Blue Scout, she flashed in the "Meet Spy" video and was also featured in the video "The Second Annual Saxxy Awards are HERE! (Almost)." She raised Scout herself and seven other "whacked out" brothers in South Boston and under some circumstances has maintained her model physique.
Blue Scout's mother is in a romantic relationship with Red Spy, to which Blue Scout was of course very surprised. The appearance of this lovely lady takes us back to the fashion of the late 60s.

Fun fact: Red Spy has a whole folder with the name "Mother Scout" where 7 photos are stored.
Interesting fact:
The Spy's mother's image is engraved on the barrel of the Spy's Ambassador.

The engineer's father
The Engineer's father was first shown in the picture with his son ( Engineer ), the Engineer's father is the Engineer from Team Fortress Classic when the son is the Engineer from our Team Fortress 2

Radigan Conagher
Radigan Conagher is an engineer's grandfather. He built a life-extension machine for Blutarch Mann, then built one for Redmond in exchange for an Aussie offered by a woman who looked like the Administrator.

Top Fact: Grandpa himself appeared in the comic book His Own Rules

What's the connection between Abraham Lincoln and Radigan Conager? Basically - nothing, except for the fact that Conager is an ardent Lincoln fan.

In the first version of the Engineer's update, some pages were set aside for devices whose creation could have saved Lincoln from assassination by John Wilkes Booth. These inventions included a hat that shoots at an assailant, a chair that flips over the floor of a balcony to escape the assassin, and a teleporter.

Radigan has undergone radical changes as shown in the images in the hidden links of the Engineer update. These images show that Radigan has grown up, grown a mustache, and gone to the gym. After these changes Radigan decided he was a dwarf and developed a passion for beer.

At the end of his transformation, we can see that the grandfather changed his left arm to a robotic one, and his body hair took the shape of.... the state of Texas. The hair also took the shape of BLU Streak beer, the love for which was passed on to his grandson, i.e. our engineer.

In the game itself, Radigan can be "found" on the paint "Brown by Radigan Conager".

Most people think Radigan is an older version of Saxton Hale.

Interesting fact: The screenshots of Radigan drinking beer and posing with his robotic arm are taken from hidden links on the Engineer Upgrade page.

Mr. and Mrs. DeGroot
Mrs. DeGroot is Demoman's mother, an elderly and blind woman who constantly brings up Demoman's father, Mr. DeGroot. Mrs. DeGroot is too prejudiced against her son, otherwise how can you explain that she accuses her son of being lazy while he makes $5 million dollars. She also claims that they raised their son to be a true Scotsman, but he is "throwing away the gifts of fate."

The family also took little Tavish in from an orphanage after abandoning him themselves. They made up a story that he was abandoned from birth until he showed the makings of a young warrior, following the old, unnecessarily brutal tradition of Scottish Highlanders subversives.

Top Fact: Mrs. DeGroot first appeared in the comic book "War!".

Mr. and Mrs. Mundy
Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Sniper:
Honestly, I don't want to talk about my parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Mundy are the parents of the sniper. Being a respectful son, Sniper always wants to be in touch with his parents via phone/mail, he does this to make sure they are doing well and to tell them about his adventures. Living in the "Red House on the Left on Adelaide Street in Australia", Sniper's parents do not praise their son for his methods of making a living.

Sniper's father condemns him more, calling him a "crazy shooter" despite his son insisting on the title of "killer". In an effort to end all disagreements with his family, Sniper has written to his mother requesting that she tell his father that he earns much more than doctors, and ends by asking to be told that he is a doctor.

Like their son, Mr. and Mrs. Mundy don't have mustaches (Mr. Mundy possessed a mustache at a younger age), what's this about? It's to the fact that a mustache is a fairly rare trait in Australians. They also bear some visual resemblance to Eustace and Muriel Bagg from the TV series Courage the Cowardly Dog.

But the truth is different, in the comic Blood in the Water it is revealed that Sniper's parents died six months ago. It also reveals that they are not his real parents.

Fun fact: Sniper's father's name is Jonathan, which, combined with all of Little Sniper's backstory, is a Superman reference.

Sniper's real parents...
Sniper's real parents were the last surviving New Zealanders, and Sniper managed to escape the wrecked New Zealand on a single-seat rocket ship - but purely by accident, as both his father and mother wanted to use it themselves. Their reunion was cut short when Sniper's mother escaped New Zealand on a new rocket ship, his father stole their submarine, and Sniper was shot by a Team Fortress Classic sniper.

They were mentioned in the comic book "Blood in the Water"

Red Heavy's family
Unfortunately we know very little about Machine Gunner's family, which was mentioned in the comic "Meet the Director". Being a counter-revolutionary, Machine Gunner's father was killed for unknown reasons. After his father's death in 1941, Machine Gunner was sent to the North Siberian Gulag along with his mother and three sisters. Machine Gunner and his family worked in the Gulag for three months until it burned to the ground in December 1941 and all the prisoners escaped.

Top Fact: Red Machine Gunner's family was first mentioned in the comic Meet the Director. It is also talked about more in the comic book Cold Day in Hell
