Описание
A selection of props from or inspired by Left 4 Dead 2, enhanced for Gmod usage with improved shaders, enhanced textures, high-detail meshes, bone tool support, and extra customization options through bodygroups and skins.

Left 4 Dead 2 is NOT required for this addon.

Contained within:
- Most of the firearms: The AK-47, AWM (using an edited version of its CS:GO model), M4 Super 90/XM1014 shotgun, M79, MAC-10, Mini-14, Pump/Chrome Shotguns, SCAR, SPAS-12, Steyr Scout (using an HD model cut from CSGO), Uzi, and as a bonus the MK18 carbine and MP5 seen in official artwork. All use the viewmodel meshes for maximum detail with enhanced textures, bone tool support, and extra customization options in the form of bodygroups and skins. Also includes props for their respective magazines and shotgun/grenade shells.

- The Desert Eagle, Glock and SIG P220 pistols along with the restored M1911 and Ruger P89 pistols from Lt. Rocky's Overhauling the Originals addon from the L4D2 workshop. These are improved versions of the props from the Left 4 Dead 2 Pistol Props pack, with textures rebuilt from Valve's sources along with various fixes and new additions. The Pistol Props pack is now considered obsolete in favor of the ones included here.

- Most of the melee weapons: The Baseball and Cricket Bats, Crowbar, Electric Guitar, Fireaxe, Frying Pan, Golf Club, Katana, Knife (using its remade model from CS:GO), Machete, Riot Shield (left unused in the game's files), Tonfa, and the Pitchfork and Shovel from The Last Stand update. All have the same features as the firearms including custom skins and viewmodel-quality meshes.

- Various items: The Adrenaline Shot, Bile Bomb, Cola Bottles, Defibrillator, Molotovs, Medkit and Pain Pills with the same features as the melee weapons, along with props for things like the cola's bottle caps, a lighter for the Molotov and individual pills from the pill bottle.

- The suitcase (originally full of pistols and money, now empty so you can use it for your own needs) and $100 bills from The Passing campaign, enhanced with improved shaders and bone tool support on the suitcase, allowing it to be closed or opened as you like.

- A M72 LAW rocket launcher, based on sound scripts within the files of L4D1 suggesting it was intended to be in the game but cut at some point in development.

- The ammo boxes from the deployed ammo packs made into individual models for posing. Includes bodygroups, bone tool support, and skins for incendiary/explosive/generic ammunition.

- Various items from the survivors, including Ellis's hat, Bill's beret and cigarette, Rochelle's earring, and the generic holster used by the L4D2 survivors.

- Some props that weren't part of the games themselves but included here for thematic reasons or because I had nowhere else to put them, such as prop versions of the campaign posters used as loading screens (including the ones for the Valve-made DLC campaigns and The Last Stand), an enhanced version of the CS:GO M249 SAW, a walkie talkie radio and a military helmet taken from the SWAT models in CS:GO.

- A stuffed teddy bear and the turtle doll from Counter Strike Source with slightly enhanced textures and rigging, allowing it to be posed by a bone tool.

FEATURES:
- A selection of models from Left 4 Dead 2 and CS:GO, many of which have been edited to fix issues with the original meshes.
- Enhanced textures that add missing details and fix numerous issues while keeping the original style intact along with adding bump/normal maps with phong and environment shaders.
- Bodygroups, skins, and attachments. Use the Easy Bodygroup Tool to select it or hold C, right click the model and use the "bodygroup" and "skin" options.
- Individual props for weapon magazines, attachments and optics.
- Each firearm is rigged to a bone set allowing virtually every part to be moved and manipulated using the Joint Tool and/or Advanced Bone Tool.
- Supports direct attachment of particles using the Advanced Particle Controller.
- Limited bonemerge support to directly attach the weapons to ragdolls. This requires the Composite Bonemerge Tool with sv_compositeentities_childboneediting set to 1. The Easy Bonemerge Tool is NOT supported as a bone tool is also required to move the weapon and manipulate its parts after merging as it will be misaligned.

NOTES/ISSUES:

- These are not SWEPs, and I have no intention of making SWEPS. If you wish to create your own SWEPS using these models feel free to do so.

- For various reasons this isn't going to have the full selection of weapons and items from L4D2. These were originally part of a larger pack that didn't work out and were made into their own release so something could be salvaged from it.

- The Chrome Shotgun isn't compiled as its own model but has its parts included as bodygroups and skins for the Pump Shotgun. The Adrenaline Shot, AK-47, AWM and MAC-10 also include their default textures from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as alternate skins.

- The MK18 carbine and MP5 use modified versions of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive M4A4 model and the cut MP5 model, as they appear to have been modeled after the respective guns seen in L4D2's artwork.

- The Counter-Strike Source weapons included here use high-detail models from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive compared to the old and crusty CSS models actually used in L4D2.

- Bodygroups only control the attachments and cosmetic options. In order to pose the various parts on the firearms (slide, hammer, etc), you need to use the Joint Tool and/or Advanced Bone Tool.

- Parts such as the foregrips and sights can be moved using one of the bone tools. You can do this to adjust the position of foregrips and optics.

im really quite interested in seeing what's done for the military sniper

Finally, the enhanced M16 right now changes it to a different M16 variant so I guess having both the A4 and A2 is pretty cool. Also, I think it would be pretty cool to have both the ziptie mount and barrel mount for both the TLS and Original Valve model.

@Sharkzilla_707: I've been considering adding the L4D M16 model to the pack. The M16 parts on the MK18 were never meant to be a replacement for the real thing but it's also tiring to work on yet another AR platform gun that's 90% similar to one that's already included in this pack.
Sharkzilla_707 28 ян. в 21:11
The M16 in L4D2 is an A2, it's stated in the gun's texture itself. I'm guessing its based on some full Auto A2 models (A3 is just the US Military's designation).
CaptainSzasz 16 ян. в 19:29
It would actually be an A3 considering it is full auto.

I really like this mod, but the only problem I have is with the M16 itself. I'm not a big fan that it was made into an A4 instead of the proper A2 in the game, but yeah that's my only gripe for some reason.

@Sirgibsalot I figured it out, so I dragged the file into gmad.exe turned it into a folder and then I put that folder inside the addon folder and the texture is back to normal now,but while I was dragging files around I tried re-downloading the addon again, don't know if it was gmad that did the trick or re-downloading the addon again that did,but overall its fixed now. Thanks man, you're the best:steamthumbsup:

@TIRED AND LAZY: Yes, it's possible there's an addon that repacked the older textures for its own use and it's conflicting now, but I don't know what it could be.
TIRED AND LAZY 10 ян. в 18:52
@Sirgibsalot I just tried re-downloading the addon ,the texture is still bugged, could it be an addon conflict?
Sirgibsalot  [автор] 10 ян. в 8:22
@TIRED AND LAZY: Can't replicate the issue on my end. Those models were updated with a merged texture map but it appears it didn't take on your end. I'd try unsubscribing and resubscribing to the addon and see if that fixes anything.
