Hello! Welcome to todays first upload! The N.T.&V Diesel Pack! I spent some hard work on these so I hope you enjoy them! These locomotives we're used for the N.T.&V and continue to operate under the N.T.&V Name!


===HISTORY===

Class: ALCO PA
Type: Passenger/Fast Freight
Built: 1949
Delivered: Late 1950
Service Life: 28 Years
Retirement: 1978
Preservation: The IRM and EP Historical Society each own an Operational Unit.
Fun Fact: These engines we're meant for long haul freight service but was switched to passenger due to the streamlining and how fast these engines were.


Class: F7A and F7B
Type: Long Haul Freight/Passenger
Built: 1942
Delivered: Late 1942
Service life: 71 Years and counting.
Retirement: Never retired and continues to run the "Panamawhatan Arrow."
Preservation: The Colorodo Railroad museum owns an A and B unit, along with the N.T.&V division owning an A-B-B-A Set for their excursion Trains.
Fun Fact: These are the longest running units the N.T.&V Owns that was never retired!

Class: RS-10
Type: Long Haul Freight
Built: 1948
Delivered: 1950
Service Life: 65 Years.
Retirement: Retired in 2013
Preservation: One still survives in a storage yard on N.T.&V Trackage, forgotton and hidden from the public.
Fun Fact: This is the Oldest Diesel Locomotive ALCO built within it's service life.

Class: C44-8W
Type: Long Haul Freight/Local Freight
Built: 1995
Delivered: 2001
Service life: 22 years and counting.
Retirement: Still Survives pulling trains.
Preservation: None, as the Railroad still uses these.
Fun Fact: The N.T.&V Bought more then 600 of these, making them the top buyer of the C44-8W.

Class: B40-8W
Type: Local Freight/DPU For Long Haul Freight.
Built: 1987
Delivered: 1989
Service life: 29 Years and counting.
Retirement: 4 of these locomotives have been retired, as the railroad is starting to retire these engines, and the first one retired this month.
Preservation: None survive in a Museum yet, as retirement just begun.
Fun Fact: The B40 was the least bought unit by the railroad! Only 45 of them being built.

Class: RS-1
Type: Yard Switcher/Local Freight
Built: 1949
Delivered: 1953
Service Life: 12 Years
Retirement: Retired in 1965 due to the SW Series appearing for switching duties.
Preservation: One survives at the St.Louis National Transportation Museum.
Fun Fact: The RS-1 is the least used locomotive the Railroad used, as only used for 12 years.

Class: E8A/E8B
Type: Passenger/Local Freight.
Built: 1954
Delivered: Early 1955
Service Life: 67 Years.
Retirement: still being used today.
Preservation: None survive in a museum, as the railroad still uses these.
Fun Fact: These locomotives we're the longest diesel locomotives used in Passenger service on the Railroad.
