N.T.&V SD40-2 Phase 2

The Northern Transcon and Vermont is my fictional railroad nobody will be making liveries of this railroad unless given permission to do so, The orange and white makes this railroad stand out more then most railroads.


HISTORY


In 1967, The Northern Transcon and Vermont is struggling to keep alive with older Baldwin diesels, and some Steam locomotives still running due to a lack of working Diesels. The Northern Transcon & Vermont wanted an effective diesel to pull heavy trains with as little as 3 locomotives. So they turned to EMD to make them 432 SD40-2's, the first arriving in December, 1967. And performing outstandingly well for it's test runs! And can pull nearly 70 cars alone! These locomotives converted the roster from old Baldwin and ALCO Diesels, and some steam engines, to a fully dieselized thriving railroad. The Northern Transcon & Vermont stated "We owe our liquidification to them, as they have turned this railroad into what it is now." And was used untill the end in 1994.
