On the other hand, even at low settings it looks quite lovely.

So, if you feel you have an adequate machine, here’s how to unlock the framerate. First navigate to the folder containing the deadrising3.exe. For windows 8/8.1 users this will likely be at C: Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ Steam Apps \ Common \ deadrising3, assuming that Steam is installed on your primary drive.

Once you’re in the folder simply click on an empty space within it, and then choose to place a new text document. (name the text file user.ini) Open up the text document and enter the following line, minus the quotation marks: “gmpcr_unlock_frame_rate = True”

Now simply save the file and exit. Boot up Dead Rising 3 and your frame-rate cap should have been removed, allowing you to potentially maintain 60FPS or more, depending on your computer’s specs. Keep in mind that Capcom have previous stated going above 30FPS may cause some problems.

O M F G.

Thank you for this guide. I can actually PLAY my game. It has been... 5 years since I last played this due to "lack of knowledge" on PC and now I can finally play one of my favourite games at 60fps.
