this guide is meant to be the definitive dictionary for anyone who needs to remind themselves of the controls without needed to spend time away researching while in the middle of a game.
it will be divided into 2 parts

1. basic controls/moves
   these are the moves that you would learn in the very beginning of the game
   
2. advanced controls/moves
   these are moves that you learn as you progress through the game. i guess they can technically be considered as a spoiler so just in case its in this section

note that this is my first guide, i'm not very accustom to this. so there might be somethings that are formatted sloppily but ill try to improve on it until its serviceable. also this doesn't include the piggy day out controls. ill get around to it when i feel like it.

• wasd - is your movement (obviously)
  
  
• spacebar - is for vaulting onto climbable things and dodging you can also jump but only if you are not moving
  
  
• m1 /left mouse click - light attack
  
  
• holding m1 - charge attack (it slightly stuns the mechs)
  
  
• m2/ right mouse click - shoot with your staff
  
  
• f - heavy attack
  
  
• shift - blocking (note that if an enemy attacks you it drains your shield a bit)
  
  
• q - is for distracting the enemies or drawing their attention to you
  
  
• middle mouse - trip command
  
  
• c - activate cloud, the hover board thing monkey uses in chapter 5 (note the game controls when you can use it)
  
  
• - e is a special bind because it can do a lot: it can pick up trip, interact with movable object and special take downs that allow you to control the mechs or use them in combat

to switch ammo you need to use the directional arrow keys :

• ← is to use plasma ammo
  
• → is to use stun ammo

there are some ledges and gaps in the environment that trip cannot get to and needs you to help yeet her to there

1. to throw trip you need to first pick her up using e
   
2. using wasd you need to aim to the ledge you want to throw her at
   
3. while holding wasd press space to yeet her over to the ledge

sometimes the distance between where you threw her is long, if so she will start to slip. if that's the case you need to jump over to her and press e to pick her up.

however there are times you need to throw trip upwards. the game is pretty generous and will tell you where you need to throw her using a marker . to do this you need to:

1. pick her up using e
   
2. go to where the marker is
   
3. press space

if there are a bunch of mechs surrounding you you can push them away from you by using m1 + space. you need to press these keys at the exact same time down to the millisecond or it wont work

different to counter attack. this attack is use to takeout a mech and use said mech in combat. this can be done to turret and special mechs. special mechs can be identifies with a emblem above there head

to takeout a turret you need to:

1. get close to a turret
   
2. press e once near

now you can control the turret

to takeout a special mech you need to:

1. find a special mech a beat it up a bit
   
2. once you beat them up close to death a quick prompt will come on your screen telling saying that you can take down that mech
   
3. quickly press e as soon as you see that prompt, after the takeout you can use the special feature of the mech until you stop using them or they time out

these moves you can only get through upgrades
after you beat up a few mechs your staff will start to glow and the game will tell you that "focus attack is charged" or something like that. in order to do a charged attack you need to press f + e at the same time.

you need to hold shift while a mech is attacking you. if you successfully block all their attacks press e

when a mech is about to strike, dodge by pressing the directional keys with space. once you evaded their attack press m1
