this is a fast guide about
6 good thing that exist in blender :

1- shrink fatten
2-quadriflow remesh
3-converting hair curves to mesh
4-alt+e
5-edge slide
6-welds modifier
7-making square hole more circular without going to mesh tool

1-shrink fatten
we use this when we want to make a area thicker without making it longer or shorter

this is with scaling












this is with alt+s (shrink fatten) (with another model )


note : turning on proportinal editing lets you shrink or fatten with fall off
note : if you enable connected parts of the mash that are not connected will not be affected
note : it can also be a good option for moving vertices
2-quadriflow remesh
this is a cheap version of z-remesher

after you done sculpting you use this to remesh your model


first let me sculpt a torso

here so now we have around 70k verts


















lets remesh it with quadreflow remesh

press ctrl+ alt+ R

and you will see this menu

so lets say i want this to be 20K faces instead of 70 k

and after you done you can fix those problems
3-converting hair curves to mesh (for old versions)
if you ever used this thing in your life
you know that it has a geo-node attached to it and it can not be converted to mesh (as far as i know )











so what you do is to add plane and go to geo-node editor








click on new and drag the curves into the editor and then you can convert it to mesh













































note : this is for people that use old versions of blender after 3.6 you can just convert it
right away

4-alt+e
extruding with pressing e:
































but if you press alt+ e and choose extrude face along normals

you can do this :

















what about extrude individual faces?

what about extrude manifold?

what about extrude repeat?

you can do this(based on your view)















what about spin?(based on your view)

you can do this

5-edge slide
by pressing g two times you can slide edges
the closer it will get to other vertices the more it will match that shape

but if you press E will force the verts to match the shape 100 %

pressing f lets you flip between which ede loop to match

pressing C lets you go out of mesh bunds

pressing S while edge slide is active lets you scale along the near verts


6-welds modifier
when you have this












and you want to clean it up


add weld modifier











and turn on the on cage















to limit the modifier to an area you can assign a vertex group
7- making square hole more circular without going to mesh tool
this is a easy one

select the verts and press shift + alt + s









if this didnt work press f3 and search for to sphere and move your mouse or press 1
