I recommend using the yellow flower, because it gives you more thermal radiation. Use black magic to turn thermal radiation into green shooter fellas, and use brown nuts to protect your lawn.

There are better, more expensive versions of these plants that you should also invest in as time goes on. You can also buy plants that launch thing. there are only two of these that you need to know about, the corn guy, and the melon guy. Melon man is the best plant in the game, especially with the ice upgrade, and corn guy is good early on because he makes butter too. butter is so delicious that zombies will stop moving so that they can get a taste of that oh so sweet and creamy butter that all over their faces and in their mouths. also, you can upgrade the corn guy so that he shoots nukes.

Zombies are stupid ♥♥♥♥ faces, so they sometimes bring their wallets with them and drop money. you can collect this money by hand or by using a magnet head. There is also a plant that creates money over time, and it can be useful to generate more cash while you play. you may also have these plants in the zen garden, and you can also sell them once they are fully grown for more money, thus creating sustainable income.

Since all the money comes from plants, the government will have no way of taxing you. just dont let them raid your house. because they'll find the plants.
