This guide is used as a template to view all Hydra Case Hardened glove patterns through a tier list. This tier list will continue to change as we move into Counter-Strike 2 and continued future sales of these gloves.

PLEASE DO NOT use this guide to argue prices tiers etc; as it CAN and WILL change over time. Just give your opinions; proof of sales (will in most cases) dictate if tiers are incorrect and what factors influence desirability.

We will try to show past sale prices of these gloves; please do let us know with proof of Hydra Case Hardened gloves (particularly with unique patterns) getting sold/traded.


When it comes to blue gems there are 3 main factors that determine an items value.

• Percentage of actual blue visible on an item

• Positioning of set blue on an item

• The actual wear of set item

Prominent sky-blue is always king. When your glove pattern has a very high % of blue but filled with gold & purple, it's usually a lot less desirable then a pattern with less overall mixed colours.

The positioning of blue on your gloves also plays a big role when appraising your gloves. The right hand is always the most important since this is the hand that holds your knife. Big centered patches of blue are always more desirable then split up pieces because they appear a lot more clean and symmetrical ingame.

The actual wear of your item also has a big effect on the value of your gloves. The better wear your gloves actually are, the more clean they look ingame and the more bright the actual blue looks.

Below is a Google Sheet depicting all one thousand (1000) known Hydra Case Hardened patterns (visible only in Counter-Strike 2 as of July 1st, 2023) categorized into separable rankings.



There are five notable rankings for which the known patterns are ultimately categorized into:

• BLUE GEM; separated into three notable tiers from Tier 1 to Tier 3 (Tier 1 being the best).
  
  
• BLAZE GEM; separated into three notable tiers from Tier 1 to Tier 3 (Tier 1 being
  the best).
  
  
• TIER 4; a wide variety of patterns that may present as a unique pattern, but are ultimately less desirable than Blue or Blaze gems.
  
  
• GOLD/SILVER GEM; patterns that present little to no blue.
  
  
• NOTHING SPECIAL; patterns that present no unique pattern and are ultimately worth market price.

It is IMPORTANT to note that these rankings are NOT FINAL and will CONTINUE to change as more information is gathered regarding each individual pattern.

Here we have a detailed picture of what area's of a Case Hardened Glove can be visible ingame. The green showcases the parts that can be visible ingame whereas the blue parts showcase what is visible during inspect.

Note: we will always prioritize PLAYSIDE BLUE to rank Blue Gem Gloves as shown in the first picture below - highlighted in green. The most visible blue part of a Blue Gem Glove ingame is always the front when holding a knife.



An area where a lot of blue can be present is whilst you're holding a pistol.


Another important aspect of the Case Hardened gloves is the inside palms. When holding a rifle, there is big patch visible that can be very sky-blue depending on your pattern.

Patterns showcased below are currently, to our knowledge, the best blue gems around. This list has been researched in detail combined with on hand blue gem trading experience. This list is inspired by the top 10 ak-47 & karambit blue gem patterns as their tier 1 ranking also has 10 patterns.

When it comes to the case hardened template, you have a lot more unique patterns besides a blue gem. One of the most desirable type of case hardened next to a blue gem - is called a Blaze Gem.

Blaze gems are case hardened items with an almost full coverage of

• Blue

• Gold

• Purple

They are often cheaper then actual blue gems but look stunning ingame due to its huge coverage of mixed colours.
