How to get your 120 FPS and settings back 6.7.0 UPDATE!!

The game for some reason changed the folder where your config files are located with this update, so if you're logging in just now, your game will be capped at 60 FPS and your settings have been reset. The fix is luckily easy!

1 - Press Win + R

2 - Write %localappdata%/deadbydaylight/saved/config in the text box and enter

3 - Go to WindowsNoEditor

4 - Copy the Engine.ini file (and GameUsersSettings.ini if you wish to get all your settings back)

5 - Go back 1 folder and paste the files you just copied into the WindowsClient folder

6 - Done

The 2 files above are the only ones you'll need to get 120 FPS and your settings back.

Copying the GameUserSettings.ini file may cause issues for someone. If that happens, the best you can do is delete this file (don't worry, this file is generated every time you boot up the game), restart your game and adjust your settings accordingly. After that, if you don't want the game to override any settings there, go to properties and set the file to read-only.

Humphrey the guide is for reverting your settings to back to what they were before the update, if you didn't already have your fps set to the right cap it won't help to change them to what they were.....Read the subtitle. If you want to know how to actually change the settings in the first place there're tons of youtube videos an guides for that

worked for me heads up when u copy and paste the files itll tell you to skip or replace the file, replace it.. thats how it worked for me

anyone else feel like the game is a lot easier to run now? i have my gpu at like half power in msi afterburner and its hitting 120fps no issue

Im not certain but when i uncapped my fps last patch i kept getting rubber banding and teleporting back and forth issues. Im not sure but i think if you uncap it u will have problems. Atleast thats what happend to me even if the internet was stable and everything

Devs capped the game and only hurt people who cant uncap it as only last gen consoles will run the game at 60fps regularly

This is unfairly gaining an advantage towards those who can't uncap their device, so it should be, sadly that these "devs" don't care about it, but whatev...

The 7minutes guy below me is clueless. There is no reason a developer wouldn't want you increasing your FPS. P.S. Thanks for the guide!
