you can use this for armor or retopology

1- add blank object










2-go to draw mode from here












3- set stroke placement to surface









4- you can also reduce the offset







5-also enable auto key to see your stroks










6- draw and after you done convert it to the path and then convert to mesh







































7-select the mesh in edit mode and from select section select checker deselect




8- set deselect value to the amount you want in this case we go for 120

9- press ctrl+ i to invert and after that ctrl+x to dissolve the selection



10- to avoid multi vertex in one place select all and merge by distance with m



11- now we are going to go and enable face snapping





























12- start connecting vertexs to each othere - give them a solidify mod and a sub div and you are done
