Decision Titles

Create De Jure Duchies and Kingdoms

Now with More Navigable Rivers!

Fully Compatible with most mods including but not limited to:

Weight of Crown
Cities of Wonder
Unique Buildings (in all its forms and variations)
RICE - RICE region files are in MPE so RICE has to be loaded before/above MPE in your playlist
Medieval Arts

Almost 7000 New provinces/baronies. Hundreds of new counties. Dozens of new duchies. Several new Kingdoms.
Historically and most importantly Geographically accurate. Countless Paradox placement and naming errors fixed.

Many counties have been renamed to their historically accurate designations of "Lordship" for the various Seigneuries and Herrenschafts, Viscounty for many appropriate places in France, Abbeys for the few territorial Abbeys in Europe like Prum and Corvey. Also the Duchies of Toulouse, Champagne, and Flanders are called that no more, they are now Counties as they historically were (they are still very much Duchy tier titles though). Many, many of the new counties and baronies have appropriate cultural names.

Make sure to check out Rurik: Chronica Slavorum it has been made fully compatible with MPE.

Also added a COMPATCH folder for those using Cultures Expanded and/or Trade Resources, also the basic CK3 files to manually change your domain limits. Simply move the desired folders (the ones that are inside those named after mods) to the MPE common folder.

MCN patch files included. Make sure to fully remove all landed titles from base MCN mod.

In the Playsets within the Paradox Launcher where you had to go to add this mod, if you click the three dots in the lower right corner of the mod there will be an option to "Show in Folder" opening up the mod folder.

For people having performance issues...
The extra provinces themselves do basically nothing to affect performance, the characters potentially generated to populate the extra provinces most definitely do.

There are 2 simple ways to address this:
1. Increase Domain Limits. Files to do so are in the compatch folder. Its basically changing one digit in 00_basic_modifiers.txt file.
2. Use a Population Control mod to kill off distant characters that do nothing for your game-play experience but hog CPU resources.

If you think MPE doesn't have enough counties try this out...

I forgot I could increase the domain limit. Just in case, the most obvious circles I saw where in India. I'll verify my install anyway. I'm fairly certain none of the other mods I'm using touch the map (or at least they don't claim to).

@Zaire82 It sounds like your files are messed up, there are no clear circles on my end, or you have a mod conflict...
The provinces by themselves have a minimal impact on performance, it's the characters that occupy them that have a massive effect, bump up your domain limits

I think there are too many provinces now. I have a fairly powerful PC and the performance only 60 years in slows to a painfully slow crawl. (granted, I have a lot of mods but this has the largest impact by far.)
Have you considered making region-focused versions of this mod? Like a Europe-only one for example.

Also, if you've been sculpting the map a lot, there are many clear circles from the sculpt tool around the place.

I'm sorry to be negative but these are serious issues.

some HRE decisions are buggy. For example, I am able to partition Lotharingia and I'm a count in Sicily

Is there a version of this mod with fewer navigable rivers?
rickc2389 17 nov om 16:24
I successfully created a local mod! I will periodically check back for updates, but for now, my save file should be secure. Thank you.
rickc2389 17 nov om 15:39
Ah, thank you! I will try that. Also, I would like to mention that I love the addition to create European empire titles. Back in the day, when I used to play the game more regularly, I would go through with console commands at the start of the game just to create empire titles for European AI rulers, before switching back to my primary character. It was a very annoying process.

So I tried making a local mod (I think) of the MPE mod and started again, and it crashed again. Could see VIET had also updated so did the same thing with that (I think) and tried loading my playthrough but it still crashed. Any tips?
