Raphael
By РАФАЭЛЬ
Appearance
Raphael wears the same knee pads, shoulder pads and belt as his brothers, but his traditional bandana is red. He also has a darker skin tone, similar to emerald green. In the different animation styles of Fast Forward and Back to the Sewer, Raphael seems to be taller than his brothers.

Personality
Raphael's personality is similar to that of his original colleague from Mirage, except that he is a little more sarcastic and grumpier. Although he's impulsive, he's not that violent. When he was fighting with Michelangelo, he almost hit his brother with a pipe, but Leonardo stopped him in time, and Raf calmed down.

Another example was when Raphael was unhappy that Leonardo decided to participate in the gang war. He even abandoned his brothers when he thought that teaming up with Karai and Foote was a bad idea. After a while, he gave up and realized how impulsive he was.

Raphael in this incarnation is a tough-talking, street-smart, serious New Yorker with a certain worldview. He's sarcastic and a little grumpy. Rafael loves wrestling and boxing and is always ready for a fight. When he was really angry, he stopped himself and kept calm, sometimes he started fighting or lost control. Raphael's biggest fear is to completely lose himself in anger and let his temper get the better of him to the point that he loses all other emotions.

His aggressive behavior sometimes causes tension in relations with his brothers, especially with Michelangelo. However, he deeply loves them all and shows more care when one of them is injured or in serious danger. It is shown that Raphael is extremely loyal and is often the first to react when another of his brothers gets into trouble.

However, in this incarnation, Raphael is not shy about mistakes.

Biography
Childhood
Raphael was a pet turtle bought by a little boy along with three others, Donatello, Michelangelo and Leonardo. The boy was waiting at a pedestrian crossing when the teenager noticed a blind old man crossing the street while a truck was rushing towards him. The teenager touched the boy with the turtles, which caused him to drop the jar in which he was holding them. The turtles fell into the sewer. While the truck evaded the scene, the rear doors of the car opened, and the canister that flew out fell directly into the sewer along with the turtles, covering them with a strange substance. A rat named Splinter, passing by, picked up the turtles and also touched a strange chemical substance. When Splinter woke up the next morning, he found that he and the turtles had grown taller and a little smarter.

Splinter decided it would be wise to teach them ninjutsu, as his teacher Yoshi did for him. Raphael and his brothers were taken by Splinter to Japan when they were children to bury Hamato Yoshi's ashes with the remains of Tang Shen. The turtles constantly noticed a strange demon, visible to them, but invisible to the Elder and Splinter. Finally, when the Elder went to consult with the ninja tribunal, Splinter noticed a strange smell in the air, believing that it belonged to a demon that the turtles kept seeing, and they secretly followed the Ancient One. Two ninja masters were attacked by a demon, but Don managed to throw a stone at the Amulet, causing it to break and reveal the demon. The Elder and Splinter quickly killed the demon. The Ninja Tribunal welcomed the turtles' efforts, although it destroyed all memories of the journey. The oldest gave the turtles bandanas, Raf got a red one. The Tribunal used their connection with nature to distort space and open a portal to the turtles' current lair.

Ninja Tribunal
Raphael became one of the Acolytes of the Ninja Tribunal along with his brothers. He is the second ninja to focus his spiritual energy through an Amulet of Acolytes, and his spiritual avatar is a dragon. Although Rafa is sometimes annoyed by his brothers, Juto-Shisho thinks that protesting because of disappointment suits him when he boldly steps into the forge of spirits and gets a Banray.

Fast Forward
Raphael was the only one who hated the future. Mostly his disappointment was due to the technique used in 2105, which was very advanced.

Back to the Sewer
The turtles return to their present time, and Raphael is still the grumpy New Yorker he's always been. However, there are clear facts in this series that show that Casey and Raf are real best friends. Raphael also helps defeat the Cyber Shredder. Raphael is happy to leave the future and return to his own time, but he hates to talk about it. Rafael also seems to be the tallest this season.

Relationships
Family
Leonardo
When Rafe was a kid, he wanted to be a leader, and sometimes felt envious of Leo's position. When Rafael got a little older, he grew out of his envy and accepted the fact that Leo is a leader, respecting it. However, these two are closer than it seems at first glance. After Leo was almost beaten to death by Foot, Raphael was reduced to tears for fear that his brother would die. When Leo recovered, Raphael helped him forge new katanas and served as emotional support, which continued during their next conflict with Shredder.

Donatello
Don and Raf get along best. Raphael is usually the first to compliment him on one of his inventions. One of Raf's favorite inventions that Don invented is a motorcycle.

Michelangelo
Raf's relationship with Mikey is the most strained compared to his relationship with other brothers. Mikey likes to tease Rafe for his amusement. Mikey is also very cocky and mocks Rafe about his achievements.

However, it is shown that he really cares deeply about Mikey, as evidenced by situations where it seems that his brother is under threat. When it turned out that the Leatherhead had hurt Mikey, Rafe begged his brother to tell them something.

Master Splinter
Raphael is quite close to his father, but often disagrees with him about the decisions Splinter makes regarding his sons' involvement in the outside world. Splinter laments Raphael's temper, at times trying to help him. At other times, Splinter scolds Raphael for his anger and impatience.

Friends
Casey Jones
Casey and Rafe are close.
