BTW:When i play Chuo Line There is 場内信号:注意 at Shinjuku Station (45KM/H).When I exit the station, should I also follow the speed of 45 km/h until the whole train passes the signal light(Signal light 出発進行)
In some rare cases, there might be a written one like "一場" (1st Home Signal), "場" (Home Signal), "出" (Starting Signal), or "中" (Relay Signal).
In extreme cases, the board didn't update to the latest layout that when it shows "4" but you can see the relay signal (so it's supposed to have no numbers or use "中" instead) for the No. 4 block signal. And then another "4" again for the real No. 4 block signal.
For JR West, usually they are written. And for some train companies, nothing will be written. It means that as a driver, you are supposed to remember all of them. The board is set there for you to call out the signal for yourself. The written number is just an assist to let you know where you are, and how many block signals before you will reach a Home Signal.
