DayZ Linux Launcher

dayz-ctl[github.com] is an experimental DayZ launcher (server explorer and launcher) on Steam Proton for Linux.

At the time of this project, Bohemia Interactive was still unable to make a working launcher for the game that could correctly install modifications and connect to game servers. For this reason, this project appeared https://github.com/WoozyMasta/dayz-ctl.

Key Features:

Server Explorer with information about each server
Fuzzy search in fzf-based server explorer
Automatic installation of mods (as an option)
A wide range of filters for searching servers (map, time of day, modifications, number of players, first person, password, etc.)
Additional information in the form of country of location (using geoip base) and ping for each server
Favorites list, last 10 games history and creation of quick launch shortcuts to connect to servers
Offline mode DayZCommunityOfflineMode with automatic installation, updates and the ability to select modifications
Configuration menu with game launch options, launcher settings, mod controls and statistics
Provides a link with detailed information about the server to battlemetrics

Installation

For ease of installation, there is a small script that will do everything for you (at least try to do it)

Execute this:

curl -sSfL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/WoozyMasta/dayz-ctl/master/install | bash

sorry, but i dont know how to say the script, were is dayz installed. i mount another unit for my steam games.

*** 1 yr Bump *** This Saved My DayZ Experience ! You Sir have created a piece of Excellence here - Only way to play DayZ with Mods on Linux ! Thank You is an Understatement

For anyone who gave up after Windows 7 was dropped in DayZ 1.23 the recent update, and Steam completely dropping Windows 7 by December End = Get Nobara 38 Linux & Woozy's Launcher here - You can play vanilla DayZ with Proton but this Dayz-CTL is needed if you want to use Mods because the factory launcher does Not work with Proton But this tool does !!!

I'm on a 2014 Dell Precision M6600 workstation laptop from Ebay - With an Intel i7-2860QM - 16GB Ram - 2GB ATI FirePro V M6100 (rare video card for drivers) - Nobara + ProtonGE + DayZ-CTL = I have Namalsk PVP frame rates that would blow your mind for a 10 year old laptop !!!

Sorry to Spam but specifically = Woozy's Tool here makes the DayZ OEM Launcher look & feel like garbage! Make the switch, you will not regret it

Nobara Linux had all of the crazy laptop and video drivers (which Dell no longer hands out) sorted out Automatically, literally Everything including the sound drivers are better - You Add in WoozyMasta's Tool & Windows Can Kiss It's Own Ass Good Bye !
