You can get Anomaly mod working through steam (with all of steam's funcionality) if you want

Delete everything in Call of Pripyat folder
Dump entire Anomaly content into CoP folder
Run AnomalyLauncher.exe once and start random game to make sure everything is working and you didnt loose any files while copying
Exit out of the game
Rename AnomalyLauncher.exe into "Stalker-COP"
Rename DX version of Anomaly (it is inside bin folder) you want to use to "xrEngine"
Start the game through steam

You will have to mod the game manually without Mod Manager but it isnt a problem at all since pretty much 99% of addons require you to dump everything into gamedata folder. I managed to have 20+ mods with no issues

Works, but imo, better with MO2 (to have mods dumped elsewhere, and keeping game clean), and following this tutorial:

Just make sure to use the correct paths to falloutlauncher.ini. Made a post before a while there with correct paths.

or you could avoid doing this entirely and just create steam_appid.txt with its appid (you can see it in the properties of the games or steamdb) along side of Anomaly's exe. Then add said exe as non steam game, launch it and steam will recognize you are playing cop (you do need to own the game, though).

I actually figured out how to run Anomaly with Mod Loader through Steam. Also works with GAMMA.

Might make a guide later or you can also PM me if you want the details.

I never used gamma and I have no idea how it works. You probably have to do some trial and error for a slightest chance of it working.
