Riverglen Ln. Full Guide
By Parasyte
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS: A detailed guide for the map "Riverglen Ln." which details everything that I have discovered about the map, including layout, item spawns, power, and even a couple of easter eggs.

Note that this game and this guide are both very new, and are almost certainly both going to have many updates in the future. I will keep this guide as up to date as I can, but if something seems inaccurate, I may have not gotten to changing it yet. That being said, please feel free to let me know if I am missing anything, or if any of my information is wrong. I'm adding to the guide eache time I discover something new. Now have fun, Die young, and don't steal from ghosts.

Power
A huge benefit of the 9/21/22 update is that the ghosts will no longer spawn in the basement every time the power goes out. This allows for the players to rush down to the basement as soon as they hear the clock chime, and they will be able to restore power instantly after it goes out.

The fuse box will always spawn in the basement on the far back wall. When you enter the house, just head straight towards the living room, and you will see a set of stairs going down. This is also a very effective looping spot, especially when the power goes out, as you can see the ghost coming up the stairs. Once down the stairs, you simply need to head to the back of the room.
The basement light does not reach the fuse box, but you will see it when you get closer.
Bedroom Key
Similar to the key to the Garage, the bedroom key will unlock the door to Edith's Bedroom. It has a few spawns, similar to the Garage key, none of which overlap. Both keys will always spawn, since both doors will always be locked. Although the Garage key has been around since (I believe) the beginning, the bedroom key was added in the 9/22/22 minor update.

The Garage Door Key
When you first enter the house, the Garage will be locked. In order to gain access to the room, you have to find the key. It tends to spawn on side tables around the house, and is normally fairly obvious. Through the magic of video game logic, once someone picks up the key, the door is instantly unlocked for everyone.

An Antique Telephone
The antique phone is a very shiny gilden rotary phone. It's big and clunky as all rotary phones were, and is pretty hard to miss unless it spawns in a dark corner.

A Black Laptop
Little known fact, the little girl is actually crying because her friends won't play Boo Men with her. It's a really tragic backstory. The laptop will spawn open, and can spawn on tables or desks.

A Branbo Speaker
A Branbo Speaker a large boxy speaker that tends to sit closer to the floor. Although Branbo is not a brand, there is a brand called Brando which makes a wide variety of electronics, including speakers. However, as none of their speakers look like this one, and I have never heard of them before, I will let you decide if this is a reference or an accident.

A Brown Briefcase
The brown brief case likes to spawn in chairs around the house. it is a very bland briefcase, and clearly isn't used for housing anything valuable, as the owner decided both their secret envelope and their money would be safer in kitchen drawers than the briefcase. Great looting everybody.
Side note, there is a poker case in the living room which does resemble a brown briefcase, but it most certainly is not one.
Unfortunately, we cannot use it to play poker with the ghost. I've tried. I expect this in a future update devs.

A Camera
The camera is a simple photo camera, that would be used for... well photos. The great thing is that you can use this camera to take pictures of the ghost and get extra money! Or was that a different game? (note: This is in fact NOT something you can do.)
  • Dining Room
A Computer Monitor
The computer monitor is, well... a computer monitor. It's almost as obvious as the flatscreen. It can spawn on every desk, but the monitor is the only part you take. I would like to take the PC itself but... wait, does this thing not have a a PC? Well, I guess it makes sense why we're only taking the monitor then.

A Fancy Bottle of Wine
A fancy bottle of wine; for when you're feeling too posh for that normal wine everyone else drinks. The fancy wine is a slightly larger bottle of wine with an actual label and some covering to it. It can be found on shelves, in cabinets, or on a few tables. I have yet to see it spawn anywhere but the kitchen or the basement.
  • Kitchen Cabinet
There are multiple Cabinets here where it can spawn, so check all of them. I've seen it spawn in two spots in the island, and one in the counter cabinets. the first is on the sink side of the island, and the second is on the hall side. As for the third, that'd be under the coffee, to the left of the fridge.

    Hall Side Cabinet[Coffee Cabinet/b]
  • Basement
For the basement, it spawns on the shelf to the right when you walk down the stairs, or...
on the corner table just to left of there.
A Flatscreen TV
Possibly the most obvious item to search for, the flatscreen can spawn really anywhere it looks like there should be a TV. Pretty simple. If you're still struggling though, here are the spawns:
  • Master Bedroom
  • Edith's Bedroom
  • Living Room
A Large Painting
If you see a large blank wall, the large painting can likely spawn there. It's the largest painting in the house, and can be of a ship, Venice, or some horde of people. Either way, there is always a thicc border around it.

A Marble Sculpture
This item is a small white sculpture that looks like two giraffe antelope hybrids (Giiraffelopes?) touching eachother lovingly, whilst looking away from each other in disgust. If that description doesn't help you, then I don't know what will. Honestly, every time I see the statue it reminds me of The Statue of Dibella, even though it's quite different.

The sculpture likes to spawn on shelves and tables. really anywhere you'd display a sculpture you actually like. Not to be confused with that hideous sculpture your grandmother gave you because she thinks that you still like dinosaurs even though you're 28 now, and you hide it away for the entire year, except for Christmas when she comes over to visit you because you know if you don't put it out she'll ask you where it is, but god it's so ugly, and I SWEAR I'm not projecting right now...

Anyway, sculpture spawns:

A Pair of Headphone
A pair of seemingly wireless headphones which spawn on desks and tables. honestly, they're probably dead. Gonna need to stop at Walmart on the way home for a charger cord.

A Pair of Sunglasses
A pair of shades so nice you just had to lift them. These don't seem like Raybans, but they're free, so what the hell. These mostly spawn on table. I imagine they could spawn in some bedroom drawers too, but I have yet to see it.
  • Guest Bedroom
A Priceless Vase
A very wide vase, that seems relatively impractical. Can spawn on counters or in cabinets.
  • Kitchen
A Top Secret Envelope
A top secret envelope with the secretest of secrets inside. Honestly, it's probably some blackmail. That's gonna be where the real money's at. The secret envelope spawns in drawers around the house. Similar to the fancy wine, the kitchen in particular has multiple spawns. It's easiest to just check every drawer in the kitchen, But I will display a couple anyway.
  • Kitchen Island Right Side
  • Kitchen Island Left Side
  • Kitchen By Fridge
  • Master Bedroom
  • Guest Bedroom
A Skeleton Key
A Skeleton Key that... doesn't open the garage? I'm kinda confused about this now. Spawns in most Drawers, and some shelves.
  • Kitchen
  • Dining Room
A Smart phone
A Smart Phone that someone left sitting around. Wait, this isn't turning on either? Well it's a good thing we were already going to Walmart for the headphones
  • Living Room
A Stack of Vinyl Records
A stack of vinyls that someone clearly just won't let go of. I mean, seriously, is there even a record player in the house for these? Spawns on tables, shelves, or the floor.

A Tardis
The Tardis is quite simply the "Tardis" from Doctor Who. It is the Doctors ship, and the letters stand for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. The ship is forever disguised as a blue telephone booth, or a police public call box if you will. In the game, you are just looking for a scale model of the Tardis. Spawns on shelves or on wardrobes.

  • Guest Bedroom

A Tiny Box of Pills
A tiny box of pills. like, actually tiny. One of the most annoying things to find. You'd think they'd always spawn in the bathroom, but I SWEAR sometimes they just aren't in there. I haven't found them anywhere else though. When they are in the bathrooms, they can spawn on or under the sinks.
  • Master Bath
  • Laundry Bath
  • Edith's Bath
Safes
Each round can have a safe spawn in the house. These safes, quite obviously, will give you money when opened. To get this money, you have to find both the safe and the code, then enter the code into the safe. At this point in time, it seems that there is only one spawn for both the code and the safe on this map.
Safes
  • Every time I find a code I die before I find the safe. I'll add one when I finally find it, But from what I've heard it spawns in the basement.

Looping
This map isn't quite as interconnected as the big maps, but still houses some good looping areas.
The Stairwell
The stairwell is a nice area because it's basically a large square. You can run along the outskirts of it, and always see the ghost if it's chasing you around it. This is also a great place to create an opening to turn power back on when it goes out.
Kitchen
As long as you're not getting stuck on the cabinet doors, the kitchen is very flexible. The island makes a great loop, sure, but you can also turn into the Dining Room, Living Room, or run towards the bedroom loop. As long as you don't run straight into the ghost, you have enough options to mostly avoid getting caught.
Bedrooms
The bedrooms are a bit tighter, but do have a bathroom connecting the Master Bedroom to the Guest Bedroom. This allows for on big loog back into the Main Hallway. So long as you don't enter Edith's Room, you should be fairly good here.
Dining Room
The Dining Room itself only has one loop, which is the table. The benefit to this loop is that you can see the ghost over the table. Apart from that though, you're better off taking whatever chance you get to run towards the Kitchen or Living Room.
Living Room
The Living Room has a similar setup to the Dining Room, as the setup of couches allows you to see over the loop, and has a few escape routes to the Kitchen or Dining Room.
Left Side
The left side of the map is a death trap. Both the Garage and Bathroom are dead ends. Your only hope here is the get lucky and find space to run around the ghost.
Basement
The Basement is a dead end, but is relatively open. If you're down here, your best bet is to try to lure the ghost to one side of the room, then run around it on the other side, probably to head up the stairs.
Easter Eggs
As Far As I can tell, majority of the easter eggs here are just messages written on the walls. These messages are only visible when the lights are off though, and are randomized, so there's no guarantees that you will see these. It also seems that the each message can spawn on each of the walls, But I have yet to test this theory thoroughly.
  • Master Bedroom
  • Kitchen
  • Dining Room
  • Entryway
Smaller easter eggs include a locked door. Unlike the Garage door, there seems to be no key for the locked door in the living room, and it just rattles a bit when you click on it. There are also invisible walls blocking both sides of the house on the outside, making it impossible to get around to the back of the house. My best guess is that this door was added to make the house look a little nicer, as it is really just a back door, but there's a chance that there is or will be something I have yet to discover with this door. So far I have discovered that after both collecting all items, and collecting the skeleton key, this door is sadly still locked. Regardless, it looks like this:

  • Added Bedroom Key
  • Added Branbo Speaker
  • Added Camera

The "Fake" Tardis

The "Fake" Tardis used to look exactly like the Tardis we still have in the game, except you couldn't collect it, because it was part of the map scenery. If you had a Tardis on your list though, there would still be another one that you can collect somewhere else, which would be your real Tardis. The "fake" Tardis used to be located on top of the wardrobe in the Master Bedroom. This Item was removed in the 9/22/22 Minor Update, and according to the dev was just a "Static Prop left over by mistake."

Gameplay Changes
Ghost Spawns
In earlier editions, when the power went out, the ghost would always spawn/teleport to the basement by the breaker. This would make it impossible to switch the breaker on directly after it went out, because you would need to wait for the ghost to leave the basement first. In this iteration, the best way to get the breaker on would often be to wait behind the stairs, and then loop the ghost around the stairs until you could get an opening. After the 9/21/22 Minor Update though, the ghost now spawns where the most ghost activity is, allowing the breaker to be preemptively rushed. A side effect of this though, is that ghosts can now spawn directly on top of afk players, and can glitch out, so that they will not die until the player moves.

@DriedGlueResidue: I believe it was in the 9/22 update. The log said "Added a some new items." I plan to add it when I get the chance, but I've been a bit busy with work the past few days. Looking to do it soon though!!!

@breadbowls: You're so welcome! I do plan to add an achievements tab, but they're kinda broken right now. I've found that the money related ones work fine, but some of the others seem to only work in multiplayer, and others are just broken. The Dev does know about this though, and is planning to temporarily disable them I believe until he can fix them. I myself am waiting to 100% it.

@SEEKZ: Thanks so much for the support! I'd love to do this for more maps, but I'm not even close to done with this one yet, and the other maps have WAY more to cover so I might need more help to takle those first.

@TRN: No Problem!
