While doing the easy way to gain crates cause screw connection issues in multiplayer, I stumbled upon a duplicate of the Infrared Half-track in the other units category. Surprised surprised, it's has the old features it has before it got reworked to the variation we have now (massive LoS in front of it.... eh).

For those who don't know, the old Infrared Half-track doesn't have a massive LoS like it has now, or a recon plane ability, but instead has a small sight range and a search light capable of revealing all enemies that are blocked (like behind buildings, tall walls, trees and etc.). There is a small indicator on the map on how the searchlight moves (see a green cone moving) and the said indicator is not visible to enemies. 
It was removed due to bugs that cannot be fix/not workaround and changed to what we have now, with one of the bugs I know is that retreating squads under the effects of the infrared would be revealed permanently.

This variation of Infrared Half-track still appears in one mission in Ardennes Assault iirc, and destroying all of it is a side-objective.
