Knocking Down Kingpin

This story related achievement unlocks after finishing Story Mission: The Main Event.

Dodge the bullets from the turrets, then use the Web Shooter to gum them up. Once accomplished, use webbing further by ripping the turrets from their housings, destroying them.

Wilson Fisk then enters the battle after the last turret is destroyed. Be very mindful of dodging his thrown projectiles and, more importantly, his charge. Webbing him up takes a full Web Shooter, and works for a short period of time before he breaks free, so be sure to get a few hits on him before dodging and leaping away. Attacks off the wall are also effective, as the key is to hit Fisk while being evasive and outmaneuvering him.

Once the first phase of the fight is complete, the fight continues in another room, where Fisk has several thugs join him, making the fight more difficult. Battling the thugs provides a good source of Focus for healing, though it is best to beat the thugs first to make the fight easier. Throwable objects are extremely effective both against the thugs and Fisk himself, who is invulnerable unless webbed or first hit by an object.

Fisk tends to take a nearly full Web Shooter in order to web up. Anything less than that and it only has minimal effect. Also, he can grab Spider-Man, wasting valuable time attempting to break free with repeated Square button presses. Whenever Fisk throws objects at Spider-Man, throw them straight back at him to deal damage to him while avoiding the immense damage otherwise taken.

Near the end of the second phase, Fisk manages to grab Spider-Man and throw him to the ground. Pay attention to the button cues to dodge the attacks and defeat Fisk in order to be successful, completing the mission.

Shock and Awe

The Shocker is the second boss within the game which can be found in the fourteenth main mission Financial Shock.

After arriving at the waypoint, the boss battle against Shocker begins after a short cutscene. The fight consists of plenty of dodging, as Shocker uses not only an electrical blast from a distance, but an area-of-effect when he lands near Spider-Man. The best time to strike is when he has temporarily exhausted his energy and is standing still — his bubble will be flickering. In this instance, throw an object (a piece of debris) against him and then attack.

During the second part of the fight, after Shocker escapes from being webbed the first time, he then starts using a tremor-type ability. It is important for you to stay off the ground as much as possible if in his line of fire. During the tremor attack, he is vulnerable to slinging items at him from above will stop this, after which Spider-Man is free to descend and attack as usual. Repeat this until the next phase.

During the final phase of the fight, Shocker will remain still but fire fairly quickly. Spider-Man will need to keep dodging the attacks until there are brief pauses. During these, Spider-Man can take advantage of these to web-pull the supports above him that hold the world in place. Once these are gone, the art falls atop Shocker. He will try to break free using his suit, but it will bust and explode in the process.

Grounded

Electro and Vulture will be the group of bosses you'll encounter in the Picking up the Trail main mission.

Upon arriving at Times Square, you must complete a spectrograph puzzle in order to conduct their forensics investigation and uncover a dispersal pattern. Following the dispersal trail to the left leads up one of the buildings and into an access hatch. This hatch leads directly into Doctor Octopus's lair, and you need to use Electric Web to turn the lights on. Then uncover Otto's hatred for Norman Osborn runs deep. He has also been searching for weakness to the armor worn by Sable International and has left messages for his "crew". One of them is for Scorpion about a "reservoir job".

A map rests on a table that Spider-Man thinks is blank. Nearby sits a UV lamp, however, and you must find the circuit breaker in order to turn it on (Electric Web again). Back at the map, you can now see where each major villain has been assigned to strike at Oscorp. Mister Negative will go after the antiserum for Devil's Breath using "Icarus".

Searching the lair further reveals that Icarus itself is just a ruse, as Otto has left behind a case full of explosive that Spider-Man trips upon opening. He escapes via a vent, only to be captured by Vulture and hauled across the city to a waiting Electro. Then you fight him, having to dodge his electrical blasts. Web Shooters stun him enough to get off a few hits, then you need to dodge again. Destroying the transformer brings Vulture into the fight. Fighting solo against him is brief, involving dodging his charge and blasts, but then Electro joins back in.

It is especially important to pay attention to Spider-Sense during this phase, as both villains have ranged attacks. Electro will remain hovering in place to send out electrical blasts, while Vulture will charge in or use his own blasts. Another transformer destruction brings the next phase, where you need to follow the on-screen prompts in order to fight Electro, and then the final phase begins.

Electro this time around is taken out quickly when you destroy the final transformer beneath him, and then the fight is just Spider-Man versus Vulture.

Sting and Smash

Scorpion and Rhino will be the second pair of bosses within the game and they encountered in Heavy Hitter main mission.

The fight with Rhino involves a lot of dodging his charge ability, luring him under the hanging storage containers and other heavy objects to smash them on top of him. This presents an opportunity to strike. Each object requires multiple pulls, and they reset to their original height if they do not result in smashing atop Rhino. When Rhino is dealt with, Scorpion then joins in the battle.

You will have two enemies to contend with. While dodging Rhino's charge, you will also have to be mindful of Scorpion's ranged poison attack. Dealing with Rhino is the same as before, but with the added trouble of Scorpion leaping in and out of the battle and using his tail strike. Fighting him is almost useless at this stage, so you should focus on Rhino. The overhead objects seem to only take one pull this time around. Crates can also be pulled down from the side as the fight progresses.

Once Rhino is down, you can then take on Scorpion. He tends to jump around a bit, so backtracking his poison blast is a good way to find him. This part of the fight tends to go quickly, as webbing him up and hitting him does the trick. Once taken care of, Scorpion taunts Rhino a little too much, and Rhino charges him. Spider-Man takes advantage of the situation and seals them both inside a storage container with his webbing.

Staying Positive

Spider-Man will come up against Martin Li a couple times throughout the game, although this achievement will unlock once you have defeated him during Act 3 of the game in The Heart of the Matter main mission. This fight will be very similar to the first you encounter Li, although it will contain a variety of new attacks while also containing more phases.

Once you finish the mission Pax in Bello you will grant the achievement.
  • ...Into the Fire
  • Picking up the Trail

Hug It Out

During Act 2 of the game, you'll be able to create and upgrade trip mines in the gadgets tab of the menu. When triggered, these will pull an enemy in with a web, usually to an object. However, you can also place trip mines on enemies, which is how you'll be getting this trophy. You'll need to have ten pairs of enemies be pulled together by trip mines.

This can be done in battle while there are lots of enemies crowded together, which makes bases good for this, but another easy method is to throw a trip mine onto an enemy while he's standing in front of another (during stealth).

Spider-Sensible

To obtain that achievement you need to Perfect Dodge 10 attacks. You will need to unlock Perfect Dodge from the Defender skill tree. When an enemy attacks you, you will have a tiny window to press the button and perfectly dodge the attack.

Overdrive

Vehicle takedowns occur as part of crimes throughout the city. When a crime is happening near you a red warning sign will appear so you can check the type of crime if you like, as it will specify whether or not it's a car chase. These are categorised as thug chases so you may have more luck in coming across them in districts you haven't done all 5 thug crimes for. You can check this by hovering over a district in the map.

To take a vehicle down, jump over the car, allowing you to grapple towards the roof. Now, thugs will hang out of the window to shoot at you. Take them down out, and the game will prompt you to repeatedly tap button to stop the car. It doesn't necessarily matter if you manage to do this in time as you'll still have completed the takedown.

Born to Ride

The Subway (Fast Travel) comes available during Act 1 after the Mission Wheels within Wheels. After finishing that just fast travel using the subway until you obtain the achievement.

Sticky and Tricky

To perform tricks, you first need to have purchased Air Tricks skill from the webslinger abilities in the menu. Once unlocked, you will see info which button to use to perform an air trick while in the air.
For this achievement, you need to perform 4 different tricks in one go, you can do this by travel around the city and just climb up on any high building and fall down to have enough time to perform all tricks.

There are 3 regular tricks but these will change into new tricks if you chain around 3 of the same trick in one go by holding the button. The tricks are as follows:
  • Up - Spider-Roll > Dragon-Roll
  • Left & Right - Flying Helix > Triple Helix
  • Down - Moonsault > Shooting Star
Simply turn in one direction until both tricks are accomplished, then hold in another direction to pull off two more tricks.

Snappy Dresser

There are almost 50 suits obtainable in the game. Some of them is available to unlock in the main story, some suits obtained in The City That Never Sleeps (three suits per DLC campaign). Players may also customize their suits with up to three Suit Mods. The ability to choose and craft suits only becomes available after players have unlocked the Advanced Suit via discussion with Otto Octavius in his lab, at roughly level 3.

Simply use any 5 different Spider Man suits to unlock the achievements.
You can learn more about all available suits in my other guide, check it out.

Arachnophobia

Stealth is a common strategy within the game, where specific moments would require you to use this type of strategy. Therefore this achievement will most likely come naturally. There are two ways to perform stealth takedowns in within the game. The best way to achieve this achievement would be to have a height advantage on enemies while being unseen and having them in a decent distance.

If you would like to not be alerted by other enemies after performing a stealth takedown so scan each enemy to see if its safe to perform a stealth takedown. Even if you are detected after performing a stealth takedown initially, that specific takedown will still count towards the achievement. Repeat that 75 times.

Spider-Man About Town

This is easy one. All you need to do is walk on the street and press button near citizens. Spidey will greet a citizen each time you press it, with some of them asking for high-fives. Repeat that 10 times to unlock an achievement.

Amazing Coverage

During one of the earlier missions in the game, Yuri will request assistance in bringing back the police departments surveillance towers, which have gone offline. After completing the mission, the rest of the towers will be marked on your map by small towers emitting signals, but nearby towers will also be visible on your screen as you won't be able to see the rest of the map until you activate them.

Each of the 20 towers corresponds to a certain district, which will become visible on the map upon the tower's activation. Every tower is the same in that you'll need to change the frequency to activate it, but the frequencies do vary.

You can go into Options — Accessibility and select the option to skip puzzles. This will allow you to skip the tower puzzles without voiding the achievement.

Inner Sanctuary

Demon Warehouses are bases marked on your map by small, red demon mask symbols. They're unlocked during the story as the demons' presence grows, and are similar to Fisk's Hideouts. Completing them involves visiting the marked locations and taking down waves of demons inside a building (and those patrolling outside). There are a total of five "Demon Warehouses" around the city.

In order to find Black Cat, you'll need to complete all Black Cat Stakeouts, which will appear on the map as you progress in the story. Each marker can be seen on the map. To complete them, you'll need to use the cameras at each stakeout to search for a small black cat toy. These are typically near some form of graffiti, sometimes of Black Cat herself, but if you're having trouble the toy's will begin to glow.

After collecting all 12 cats there's Marvel’s Spider Man Cat's Cradle side mission appears. After comleting you'll be rewarded with Marvel’s Spider Man Dark Suit.

R&D

Research Stations are citywide activities that can be found throughout much of the map. These involve short missions often based on traversal mechanics, rewarding players with Research Tokens upon completion. The stations were installed by Harry Osborn, who was attempting to fulfill the dreams of his late mother. Players unlock access to these stations after completing the mission Harry's Passion Project. However, some of the stations' missions are only available at specific forecast and when require specific upgrades.

Research Stations also allow players to manually change the time of day after completing the main story; players are given the option to choose between between "Day", "Sunset", and "Night". In addition, each Research Station becomes a fast travel point once they have been accessed.

A total of seventeen Research Station missions are featured in the game.
You can find more info and video how to complete all of them in my guide.

In addition to marked landmarks, there are Secret Photo Ops locations. These are not initially known about in the game and there is no quest for them. Secret Photo Ops are only discovered when a player takes a random photograph of a particular place of interest, and it happens to be one of the several secret photo locations available.

Once players hit level 50, they will unlock the Proximity Sensor suit mod which will make the photo locations show on the minimap, but not on the main map. While this is certainly helpful, the range is poor.

The game features 50 secret landmarks, rewarding players with 100 XP per photo. Once all 50 photos have been taken, players are awarded the ESU Suit.

A Bit of a Fixer-Upper

Lab projects, or simply projects, are puzzle minigames in Marvel's Spider-Man. They are of two types, requiring players either to wire electric circuits (called circuit projects) or to find DNA sequences (called spectrograph projects). Following the mission My OTHER Other Job, players can participate in these projects for additional XP and Research Tokens while in Otto Octavius's lab.

More projects are added over the course of the main story, along with getting more difficult over time.

Wing It

To unlock this achievement you'll need to disturb 500 flocks of pigeons on rooftops. You should do this naturally through playing the game but swinging closely to rooftops is a good way to bother any birds hanging around on them and it shouldn't take too long to reach 500.

With Great Power...

For this achievement you'll need to travel to the very top left corner of the map, as shown below.
This area is a church and cemetery, where you'll be able to find Uncle Ben's grave.

One More Time

In order to unlock New Game+, you'll need to finish the final main story mission called Pax in Bello on a normal playthrough. To start New Game+, go to the main menu, hover over on your save file and press the button to start the game. Once you finish Pax in Bello in this mode, you'll unlock the achievement.

This video can show you the way how it could work in PC too.

Power and Responsibility

This achievement is earned for completing all main story missions on the games hardest difficulty: Ultimate difficulty. Ultimate Difficulty only increases the damage you take. Other than that, it's the same to other difficulties.

It's highly recommend that you attempt to earn this achievement on New Game+ because you'll be on a higher level, hence you will have more health. Also, get all skills on the tree to help with combat, and finally, upgrade some of your gadgets to also help with combat. There are no particular side quests to do for this but you should do all the side quests for XP.

Next, you should equip the following suit powers and mods to your personal preference. It's recommended that you go with Health because it makes getting health a lot easier and keeps you alive longer.

So Many Hits...

Achieving a combo of 100 may seem like a daunting task at first, but there is a workaround to make it much easier. If you've played Spider-Man: Miles Morales you should remember the 100 combo trophy on that game. This is the same version of that.

To get a combo you will have to perform hits and dodges without taking damage. Any damage to you will end your combo, and if you don't add point within a certain amount of time the combo will end. There are two ways you could do this.

The Untouchable Spider-Man

For this trophy you will need to complete an entire enemy base without taking any damage. The best place to do this is the lower Fisk hideout in the Upper West Side district.

This hideout is set in a construction zone. You will have to pass six waves of enemies to complete the hideout. You may be tempted to do this stealth, but it cannot be done all in stealth, only the first wave. Once the second wave comes out they will be alerted to you instantly.

Hi, do you need to complete every Taskmaster challenges at level 3 in order to get the "100% Complete all Districts" and "Purchase all Suits" achievements, or just level 1 is enough?
Really nice guide btw
The Time Traveler 17 Aug, 2023 @ 6:41pm
Nice "guide" or whatever you wanna call it. By the end of the game you've reached the last mission in spiderman you most likely completed 95% of this crap and the rest is just yawnfest stuff the same as before or clear game on ultimate spiderman. No real need for a guide imo. the game handholds u thru every achievement basically.

Néah 17 Mar, 2023 @ 8:23am
I've just finished the game once again in NG+ / Ultimate and didn't receive any of the related achievments.
Do I have to finish side quests and/or DLC also ?
Phillip 5 Mar, 2023 @ 1:09am
Good guide, although I recommend to only use it after completing the game. None of the achievements are missable - the only thing you need to know is that you need to do a second playthrough on NG+ on Ultimate difficulty.

Just enjoy this beautiful game without spoilers and without stressing about achievements.
