first up, my PC specs for your reference:
and now, the fix:
while in-game, go to the " advanced settings " and set the FPS to 30, then exit the game after confirming the change.

while you're back on the steam games library page, wait for it to finish syncing the cloud save data.

after that has finished, go to the gear icon, and select the " properties " option.

once there, go to the part that says " local files ", and then select the " verify integrity of the games files " option.

now that you've done that, just patiently wait for it to finish " verifying ".

after it's finally over and done with, exit the popup window, and press the big green " PLAY " button.

- enjoy your now flawless audio.

Whats weird is I use a AMD CPU with a NVIDIA GPU and it gives me audio problems except when its set to 30 fps. The developer did had another game called unlimited world red and that didnt have audio distortion at higher frames.

sadly no, as soon as you set the FPS to anything above 30, the audio goes back to being distorted.
