This small patch fixes a problem with game launching on new Windows OSs (8/8.1/10), and allows playing the game in windowed mode.

Fixes & features:

Proper launching on Windows 8/8.1/10;
Added windowed mode. Game can easily be switch between windowed and full-screen modes now;

Installation:

Download archive from my Google Drive [drive.google.com];
Extract its content into game's Data folder, near main engine.exe file;
Launch your game;
Have fun ;)

Виправлення:

Коректний запуск на Windows 8/8.1/10;
Додано віконний режим. Також можна легко перемикатись між віконним і повноекранним режимами;

Установка:

Завантажте архів за посиланням з мого Google Drive [drive.google.com];
Розпакуйте його вміст у папку Data, до файлу engine.exe

how to switch back to full screen mode?

Does not work. After launching game, loading screen appears, when loading bar is full, sound glitch is heard and game shuts down. Windows 10, I have extracted file in to both main game folder and in to data folder.

Не працює. Будь лака, перед тим, як продаваи гру в стімі за гроші - зробить її грабльною. Бо це вже ні в які рамки. Ви представляєте український гемдев. І це сумно. Я скачав цей файл, додав у папку гри і нічого. Абсолютно нічого

But what about in regards to getting Alexander to work? That game wont boot up on Windows 10 because of the disc copy protection. So I don't get how this will work with Alexander. Can anyone confirm that they've got it working with a disc version of Alexander?

@rH - "What does this fix do?" - The games are made with an old version of Microsoft DirectPlay which normally sits in your sysrem folder, not the game folder. They are incompatible with the version that is shipped with newer versions of Windows so by placing this old version of DirectPlay directly into the game folder it will use the old version from there rather than the new one in your Windows system directory.

So you're saying this will work for a boxed copy of Alexander too? So what does this do exactly just out of curiosity?
