After restoring light to all of the four crystals, the four Warriors of Light now return to the Chaos Shrine where our story all began and use the crystals to open a path back in time 2000 years in the past. At the end of a lengthy final dungeon culminating in rematches with the Four Fiends, the group reunites with our old pal Garland who has now become the archdemon Chaos, who created a time loop where he sends the Four Fiends into the future where they will send him back to the past allowing him to live forever. But not for long, as the Warriors of Light are ready to rip him apart!
