Short explanation
Last Updated: 18/11/2022 (V Extension 3 Release)

Songs are organised into two categories:

Risky

These are songs owned by major record labels, streaming these on twitch will likely cause VoD mutes and are therefore at risk of receiving DMCA threats. Uploads to youtube will receive content ID and could potentially risk copyright takedowns due to the capricious whims of the music industry. Mess with these at your own risk.

Mild

These songs will cause content ID on YouTube, but will not cause VoD mutes on Twitch. These are relatively safe, the odds of legal action like a DMCA on your twitch channel or a takedown on YouTube are quite unlikely but not zero. Generally OK to stream and upload, but I'm not responsible if that changes.

Anything else not mentioned is original game music and therefore almost certainly safe to stream. This focuses on YouTube and Twitch's systems and is based off my own personal experiences and a couple others telling me things. I cannot speak to other platforms and let me know if I've missed any in the comments so I can refine this.
Risky

Weird Edge Cases
Included are some weird odds and ends and unintuitive things I noticed while compiling this list.

Bleed, Kingdom and So Happy are all licensed from No Copyright Sounds and will not trouble you while streaming or uploading but are technically still licenses.

Brandnew Days is an almost perfect match for a song called "Still Here" by the band WinterGreen since apparently the composer used to be a member of that band before composing for DJMax and engaged in a slightly funny bit of self plagiarism. These are technically different songs, but copyright doesn't care.

A version of "Luv Is True - 3rd Coast" was used in a Korean drama so this is at risk of getting picked up. This is kind of stupid but it's stupid that I'm even writing this document.

"IF - Vanilla Unity" is a licensed song from a Korean rock band but I have no recorded cases of it triggering either Twitch VoD mutes or even YouTube content ID. Still, that could very easily change.

In My Heart is inconsistently picked up by auto-detect but it is there and technically a license so be wary. Strangely, the ESTi Remix seems to be safe.

Get Jinxed intuitively seems unsafe but it doesn't seem to cause either content ID or vod mutes.

POP/STARS is similar except there seems to be a consistent YouTube copyright claim from a
completely unrelated Brazillian entity. The song otherwise seems to be fine, but I have no idea what's going on there.

Hope this helps you stream DJMax safely.

M2U, ESTi, and t+pazolite are all things that I've seen consistently picked up and have muted one stream of mine in the past (t+pazolite, but not for a song in DJMAX).

Its so fucking ridicilous that streamers have to worry about this stuff.
