  • To "unlock" Tangle and Mosaic slime, you need to activate Oases at the Glass Desert. It's best to activate the ones near the Tangle Gordo since there IS a one-way teleporter ranchers can use to return after getting the plorts/slimes they want.

Rating: 9/10
Special Slimes
Puddle Slime

Found In: Ring Island, The Indigo Quarry, The Moss Blanket, The Ancient Ruins, The Glass Desert
Food Type and Favorite Food: Water
Favorite Toy: Rubber ducky
Newbucks Default Value: 60
Advice for Ranchers: Since they are water-based slimes, keeping them away from water will cause them to despawn 30 minutes in-game time.
Rating: 10000000000000000/10

Fire Slime

Found In: The Glass Desert
Food Type and Favorite Food: Ash
Favorite Toy: Charcoal brick
Newbucks Default Value: 45
Advice for Ranchers: Keep fire slimes in an incinerator with ash trough upgrade. Unlike puddle slimes, there's no limit to how many fire slimes you can keep in an incinerator. Collecting their plorts is a pain, so get a drone for collecting fire plorts when you can.
Rating: 9/10

Lucky Slime

Found In: The Dry Reef, The Indigo Quarry, The Moss Blanket, The Ancient Ruins, The Glass Desert
Food Type and Favorite Food: Meat
Advice for Ranchers: They despawn after a few seconds if spotted or have eaten meat. Not really worth chasing unless you want a pic for bragging rights.
Rating: 100/10

Saber Slime

Found In: The Wilds
Food Type and Favorite Food: Meat
Favorite Toy: Stego buddy
Newbucks Default Value: 60
Ideal Largo Combinations: With any fruit or veggie slimes.
Advice for Ranchers: Since they are found exclusively in largo forms and only spawn in The Wilds, keep some food handy and feed any feral saber largo, then use the plort to create more largos to ranch.
Rating: 15/10

Glitch Slime

Found In: The Slimeulation
What Makes Them Special: They disguise themselves as normal slimes and other objects in the slimeulation, but ranchers can tell them apart by the ditto-like face they have. Once you vac them up or hit them with debug spray, they will explode into 1-12 glitch slimes, based on what they were disguised as.
Rating: 9/10

Quicksilver Slime

Found In: The Nimble Valley
Food Type and Favorite Food: Electricity
What Makes Them Special: They are speedy-boios and race around the racetrack and give plorts when fed electricity. They are normally docile, but when fed with a sparkshot, they harm the rancher on contact.
Rating: 10/10

Twinkle Slime

What Makes Them Special: They only spawn during the Wiggly Wonderland Event in the month of December. Ranchers can hear their singing when close-by and once ranchers get in close proximity, the Twinkle slime bursts into a song then disappears leaving a teleporter and lots of chimes behind.
Rating: 100000000/10
Scary Slimes
These slimes, as the title suggests, are the scary slimes Ranchers can come across in the Far Far Range. If you see them, you know you're in deep deep... plort.

Feral Slime

Advice for Ranchers: They are really hangry (hungry and angry) boios who will om nom chomp chomp you if you get too close. They usually spawn in select spots across the Far Far Range and in abundance in The Wilds, and can be instantly calmed down if you feed them.
Rating: -10/10

Tarr Slime

Advice for Ranchers: Found in adventure and rush mode, these boios are like zombies. They are formed when a largo eats a plort that is unlike both of its base slimes (for example, a Pink-Tabby Largo eating a Rock Plort). If you see even a single one form, immediately hit with a splash or two of water or throw them out into the slime sea. They will eat up any slimes they see and rot whatever crops or hens they get close to. Overall, they are very really incredibly not good.

You can use Tarr slime to handle feral slimes, they're easy enough to avoid and easier to get rid of than ferals.
