I discovered this week that Hexen 2, a game in the Quake-like list (same Engine) has a structure more similar to Quake 2: no levels but, I think, Units/Episodes with Hubs and maps interconnected, and written tasks.
Do we have a list of fps with just Doom and Quake type of just straight levels structure??
And another-one for Units or Hubs or Quake 2-like??
I'd always like to know if a game is more Doom or Quake 2 or Half-Life (interconnected with in-engine scenes and no dialogue or written paper nor logs..) or Doom 3 (dialogues and logs too).
I think Steam tags and store-pages don't say enough and in a clear way about the structure of a game.
Am I crazy?? :- D
