Mauser C96 from Raid: World War II / Payday 2

One of the first commercially successful self-loading pistols, the C96 aka "Broomhandle" originates from Germany. Its variants have been adopted by other countries as well, including Russia and China. The original version is reloaded with a stripper clip like a rifle, but variants with detachable box magazines like the Schnellfeuer and the Trench Carbine were developed. It is also one of those pistols that had a bulky holster stock.


Since Raid WWII and PD2 share the same engine, they also share assets extraction process. Unlike PD2, this game is no longer updated, so I don't have to worry about new DLCs requiring extracting the stuff from scratch every time a patch drops new stuff. Interestingly, this is the same "Broomstick" model in PD2 Historical DLC, but with a different texture and modification set. So, naturally, I used it for the extra TLS skins. I had to remove the look up/down poses unfortunately, as they acted weird, but I added a half of melee animation as second deploy anim as a compensation of sorts.
