Arkfalls
While running through the world you will counter Ark Falls. Ark falls are events that show up throughout the world of Paradise. There are three Ark Fall types Random, Minor, Major. (Note: Only Minor and Major and arkfall events i.e. Scrapper Uprising, Mother of All Hellbugs, Hellbug Extermination etc will give you loot after the battle. In these events it doesn't matter how many enemies you have killed they go off by your total score of the event. The higher the score better the loot will be.)

Random Arkfalls[/b]

Random Ark Falls my be encountered anywhere in the world of Paradise the enemies at these ark falls are random it all depends on the location of where the arkfall is located. These Arkfalls don't provide loot for completing the Ark fall but they do award you with random drops, scrip, and experience.

Minor Arkfalls[/b]

Minor arkfalls are summoned by players at certain spots on the map. Minor arkfalls consist of the first few waves of random enemies. These enemies can be Raider, 99ers, Hellbugs, Scrappers, or Dark Matter. After clearing out those enemies the Volge will start coming in. After clearing out the Volge on the outside of the arkfall you will then enter the arkfall and clear out more Volge from the inside. Once all of the enemies are cleared out and all of the containers are opened the arkfall is complete.

Major Arkfalls[/b]
Same with the minor arkfalls the first waves of enemies are random. One again towards the end you will start fighting the Volge. Once done on the outside you will enter and defeat all the Volge on the Inside. The only difference with the major arkfalls is that you will be fighting a boss called a Warmaster.

Warmaster Battle[/b]

With the new 2.1 update they added a 30 second timer on the vents that will cause them to open automatically if they are not opened by a player and a three minute timer on the Warmaster's cage to destroy the locks. This timer starts as soon as the vents of the arkfall opens up. The longer you wait to release the locks the less time you will have to actually defeat the Warmaster despite needing the 20 player minimum so start shooting the locks as soon as you get to the bottom of the arkfall. This fight is pretty much straight forward. The goal of this battle is to clear out the crystals on his back and start shooting the orange spots underneath the crystals. The trick to defeating him is lots of DPS. So using weapons like SMGs, ARs or any one weapon with high DPS and one weapon with high crit chance when his armor is depleted. (Note: Volge weapons, BMGs, Sniper rifles of any kind, Detonators, Shotguns of any kind, or Infectors are not a great choice to use. They are low DPS and infectors do very little damage all are usually under hundred damage)

Major Arkfall Events[/b]

The arkfall events consist of at least 5-6 minor arkfalls and a boss battle. The events are as followed:

Hellbug Arkfall Events[/b]

Revolting Hellbugs[/b]

This end event of the Hellbug events is pretty straight forward. The Start of the battle the Hellion will appear from the ground. You will start of by shooting all of the Hellions mouths. Many Hellbugs will come out from it to help you get your score up. After the mouths are destroyed the Hellion symbiote will come out of the top of the hellion. The crit spot on the hellion is its tail aim for that to do mass damage and get it killed.

Hellbug Extermination[/b]

The boss at the end of this event is pretty easy. This boss will have 4 legs you will need to destroy. There are glands underneath each leg and a few on the sides of the Hellion. The symbiote on this hellion stays inside the mouth of the hellion it doesn't fly out like it does in the Revolting Hellbugs event. Just shoot it where it sit and complete the event.

Mother of all Hellbugs[/b]

The boss battle of this event is the quickest ones out of the other two. The Matron fight is quite simple. She appears out of the ground then just shoot her head to do mass damage. She might do this two to three times unless there is a lot of DPS being poured out on her. If there is a lot of DPS being dished out she will go down in a matter of seconds.

Scrapper major arkfall event[/b]

Scrapper Uprising[/b]

The Scrapper Uprising event can be done verily quickly. The boss fight consists of four robotic arms around the area of the arkfall. To destroy the arms aim at the yellow spots on the arms. Once the arms are destroyed the core will come out and start repairing the arms. While the core is doing its repair process its center will open up so you can attack it. The core can be destroyed rather quickly by doing a lot of DPS to it.

Dark Matter major arkfall event[/b]

Dark Matter Uprising[/b]

This event can take a while to complete upwards of 20 to 30 minutes. Just like all of the other ones you will have five to six minor arkfalls along with the boss. The boss of this event take take a while to defeat. To defeat the Monolith you will need to start out by shooting at the armor plates that are on his legs. After the armor plates are destroyed the motivators will be visible. Shoot the motivators that are expose and after they are destroyed the core will be visible on his neck. You won't be taking down the Monolith quickly. During the fight he will disappear and reappear multiple times. While hes in the air waves of Dark Matter will spawn and the Monolith will start dropping artillery rounds that can one shot you. Just avoid the red circles on the ground these are the areas that the artillery shots are going to land. A good strategy is do destroy all of the armor plates first so that all of the motivators are exposed so when the Monolith lands again you can aim for the next motivator and then start shooting the core again.

Arkfall Summoning[/b]

With the Arkbreaker DLC you have the ability to use Ark Spikes to call down your own arkfalls. You must also complete the DLC storyline which can be started in Bloodbath in order to use the batteries There are two types your can do minor and major. Minor arkfalls only require one Ark spike to summon them. Major arkfall sites require you to have four Ark Spikes to summon. Ark spikes can be obtained by the daily/weekly Ark Hunter pack which is claimable through the claim items in the store. You can also buy Ark Spikes for 10,000 scrip for a single one or 40,000 scrip for a four pack of spikes. Ark Spikes can be bought at Bloodbath Turnout.

Salvage Matrix
The Salvage Matrix is the heart to modifying your weapons with upgrades. Below are the major sections of the Salvage Matrix that will be used the most. To access the Salvage Matrix press f1 then click on the tab on the right side of the character tab to access it.

Adding Mod Slots[/b]

To start adding mods you need to add mod slots to your weapon(s) of choice so you can have maximum effectiveness of your weapons. By default weapons usually come with one slot unlocked. This process takes 10 minutes for each slot and requires ark salvage to add the mod slots the salvage matrix will tell you how much ark salvage you will need to to attach a slot to the weapon and weapons have four slots so a total of 40 minutes is required to fully add all the mod slots.

Attaching Mods[/b]

Once you have finished adding all your mod slots to your weapon it is time to start attaching mods to it. With the weapon you have selected to attach the mods to and by selecting attach mods it will open another window with the sections of the weapon. By clicking on the part of the weapon you want to add it will bring up the list of available mods you have for that part select the mod you have available for that part of the gun and it will attach it. This also requires ark salvage to complete. Just repeat this process till you have all four slots with mods in them.

Removing Mods[/b]

This process allows you to keep your weapon and have all the mods slots freed up on your weapon. This will destroy all the mods that are equipped to it and lets you keep your weapon.

Retrieve Mods[/b]

This process allows you to keep all your mods that are attached to the weapon but this will destroy the weapon that you're retrieving the mods off of.

Upgrading Rarity

In the most recent update of Defiance they added the option to upgrade the rarity of your weapons. As long you have the Arkforge you can upgrade them from uncommon all they way up to legendary. This process takes 20 minutes in the queue to be completed.

Changing Weapon Mastery Bonus[/b]

This is the bonus you get from maxing any weapons XP. The value of how good the bonus can be is determined by the rarity of the weapon, the rarer the gun, the better value on the Mastery bonus. When you do this the mastery bonuses on the weapon your doing this to will be randomized each time you do it.
Vehicles
There are three different classifications of vehicles there are Rollers, Runners, and Cerberus.

Rollers[/b]

Rollers (cars) are the fastest of the three classifications. The speeds of rollers range from 31.3-35.7. There is a vendor located at Crystal Pond (coordinates: 2120, 2244) you will need to kill three 99ers that are located there for him to show up he is the guy that comes out of the house there. He sells you the Orange Dodge Challenger there for 30,000 scrip.

Runners[/b]

The runners are essentially ATVs. You will get your first one after completing the first few main missions of the game. There is also an ATV vendor that sells them between 23,000 to 25,000 scrip. You can find the vendor at the Headlands Transit Depot (coordinates: 1921, 3945) This vendor also sells the Duni roller which can be bought for 29,000 scrip.

Cerberus[/b]

The Cerberus is not available at any vendors. The Cerberus is only available currently in co-op maps. Unless you get your hands on the wheel it is kinda hard to level up and do the goals for this vehicle classification.
Weapons
There are many different weapons throughout the world of Paradise. Here is a list of the weapon classes you will see in the game.
  • Assault Rifles
  • Blades
  • BMGs (Bio-Magnetic Guns)
  • Bolt action Sniper Rifles
  • Combat Shotguns
  • Detonators
  • Infectors
  • Light Machine Guns
  • Pistols
  • Pump Shotguns
  • Rocket Launchers
  • Sawed-off Shotguns
  • Semi-Auto Sniper Rifles

There are a couple weapons that are listed above that will need some explaining.

BMGs (Bio-Magnetic Guns)[/b]

The Bio-Magnetic Gun, or BMG, is a highly advanced weapon of Votan origin. Based on the super-science of bionetics, the BMG is designed to tap into the Hunter's body, using a bionetic collider to integrate a portion of their BDNA (Bionetic DNA) into a powerful electrical field. When the electrical field is discharged, it latches onto other living beings and begins to siphon off electrical forces before redirecting them to the BMG, and ultimately, to the user. Once harvested, the sapped energy can be deployed to boost dwindling EGO powers or gain other extraordinary benefits.
There are many different versions of BMGs. Some versions of BMGs allow you to drain the life and shields of your enemy. Other versions allow you to do that as well and with the ability to shield your allies in battle.

Infectors[/b]

Infector weapons can be useful when you need to do DoT (Damage over time.) Best uses of these weapons can be when you are doing raid events like arkfalls, boss battles, or killing certain enemies. Infectors aren't meant to be used with single enemies they are best used for groups of enemies as they need to spread around the disease that it shoots out to be most effective in battles.

Volge Weapons[/b]

Another weapon type that needs explaining is the Volge weaponry mentioned in the Warmaster section of the Arkfall guide. Volge weapons are "cold fire" plasma based weapons, that are hard hitting but are severely lacking in fire rate, magazine size, accuracy with sustained fire, and projectile speed (which can lead to missing your target completely til you are used to the type of lead you need on moving targets)
There are currently seven Volge weapons useable by players which are:
  • VOT Volge Thunderer Pistol (Pistol "Handcannon")
  • Typhoon-X AR (Assault Rifle)
  • VOT Volge Typhoon AR (Assault Rifle)
  • VOT Volge Lightning Rifle (Bolt Action Sniper Rifle]
  • Volge Battle Rifle Gun MK I (Light Machine Gun)
  • Volge Recon Assault Rifle (Light Machine Gun)
  • Volge Breacher (Pump Action Shotgun)

Advanced Weapons[/b]

There are four powerful temporary weapons that can be found around the world in various missions, arkfalls and roadside instances. You will be alerted to the presence of these weapons when your Ego announces that an advanced weapon has been detected nearby, and visually by a red glowing aura around the weapon itself.
These weapons are:
  • EMC Firebreather (a powerful two shot rocket launcher)
  • EMC Grenadier X100 (a powerful remote detonation grenade launcher with five grenades)
  • Pulverizor (a powerful gauntlet based melee weapon that generates a shield around you and has a regular attack as well as a shockwave area of effect attack)
  • "Reaper" RPB (The Repeating Particle Blaster is a gatling gun styled weapon with around 5000 rounds of ammunition)
[/list]

Weapon Elements (Nano Effects)[/b]
There are 5 different Nano Effects that can be on weapons. The 5 are:
  • Biological
  • Electrical
  • Incendiary
  • Radiation
  • Syphon

[/b]Biological

When using a biological weapon they help with in decreasing the amount of damage that is being inflicted from the enemies. Biological weapons also reduce the movement speed of your enemies they also cause more damage to the armor plates of your enemies.

Electrical[/b]

Electrical weapons stun your enemies. They help out with shields and while they are electrocuted all damage to shields is more potent to the enemies. When electrical weapons are used during PVP they stun the player and also makes them not to be able to see their hud or zoom with their weapons.

Incendiary[/b]

Incendiary weapons are fire weapons. They set your enemy on fire and deals Damage over Time to them. While the enemies are one fire all damage from other weapon types are increased to deal more damage to the enemies health.

Radiation[/b]

Weapons with the radiation nano effect are useful against enemies with armor. When radiation is on the enemy all other weapons do more damage to the armor on the enemy and also radiation weapons ignores a portion of the armor plates on the enemies.

Syphon[/b]

Syphon weapons are great. When a weapon has the syphon nano effect on it it drains the life of your enemy and it heals you if your health is low and also helps with the regeneration of your shields.

Weapon mod Vendors[/b]

There are weapon mod vendors scattered throughout Paradise. These vendors provide you with basic upgrades and damage type converters for your weapons. Each weapon type vendors have converters of the following types: Electric, Incendiary, and Radiation. There are no conversion clips for Bio and Syphon weapons they are only found as a drop. The locations of the vendors and what they sell are:

The Crater- pistol mods (Coordinates: 2463, 2108)
Muir processing plant- sniper mods (Coordinates: 2188,2522)
Bug-N-Chug- shotgun mods (Coordinates: 3969, 4368)

Probably did I no longer have the game installed as I don't bother playing it anymore as its became really laggy and unstable.
