Fixing the problem.
Yes, the game has a problem locking the fps.
It happens with many old games, are programmed for processors and technologies of that time, and they stop working well with new technologies.

So,its simple If you don't mind doing it, just download this little program RTSS (Rivatuner static server), add the game exe to its interface, and just use the "Frame limit" tab, setting the appropriate number of fps, in my case 60.

This way you will play without the abrupt fps drops and ups, what causes stuttering.
The same works for other games.

My rig:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600
16Gb Ram.
MSI RTX 4060Ti
W10
Game all on High settins, running at constant 60 fps.

Cheers!

Thank you! Had no clue how to use MSI Afterburner or RivaTuner, but a quick search helped me configure everything, and now I'm running at a smooth 60FPS with some HDR shaders enabled. It's a much smoother experience now.

Thanks a lot, it works wonders on my end. Been waiting literally a decade to play this game and when I saw the FPS stutters the sadness ensued, but your solution brought clear skies and crisp barbarian kills! :steamhappy:
