Short Version
Start a mission, buy all ammo and quit the mission. You will be return into the lobby you were in.
Walkthrough
Press ESC go to Online tab and choose Jobs from top right



Choose "Play job"



Rockstar Created



Then click Missions and choose any mission



It will take you to mission settings where you can buy all missing ammo (except special mk2 ammo) in one click, you can also buy and equip 1 bulletproof vest



Click on buy all ammo and agree



Then press ESC to return to the lobby you were in with all players present



Agree to confirm

No, the more expensive way is to buy from M player menu inventory. Besides ammo costs like peanuts in this game.

Isn't it more expensive this way? I'm sure some poor players wouldn't want that. Not getting Mk2 ammo is a downer. :(

It takes more time as you have to buy it for every single gun separately. Here you buy them all shortly.

You can also just buy ammo in the interaction menu.
