The How To

A little comparison of difference between regular Chrome and Gold Chrome. Except Gold Chrome is not among the basic colors, you have to make it yourself.

Step 1.

Go here https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/member/(insertyour rockstar social club name here)/crews

Gotta put your own social club name there or you can navigate via other means but you have to find crews on your social.

Step 2.

Create your own crew if you haven't already. Doesn't matter if it is a one man crew. Then click on 3 dots and edit your crew.

Step 3.

When editing the crew make sure you put ffd859AA in crew color so we get the right shade of gold. Don't forget to save at the bottom.

Step 4.

Once in game make sure the crew with gold color is your active crew by doing the following:

Online>My Crews>Crew Name>Set as Active Crew

Step 5.

Go into a car workshop, I suggest Autoshop as it won't matter if your crew is level 10 there to apply the crew paint and chrome paint won't be locked behind 50 race victories.

Respray the car and choose Chrome It will cost you about $23k

Step 6.

After you've chosen Chrome apply Crew color and volia your Chrome is suddenly Gold Chrome.

It also works for other crew colors so you can make Chrome with tint of Red or Green etc. or experiment with gold shades but this shade is the best.

For any changes to crew color to take effect you have to restart the game if it was already running when you changed the crew color

Re-do this process with all layers for the car if you want your entire car to be Gold Chrome

You need to own an autoshop yourself, obviously.

Didn't work for me, "You need to win 16 more races to unlock this" when I was in someone's autoshop.

Autoshops lift all locks and conditions

The 50 races condition seems to be fixed even in auto-shops..
