CS2 introduced a system where players select weapons to be accessible in game in the buy menu.
Now player have lost access to all the guns and cannot drop them for teammates, your choice before the game now matter where they shall not.

That system forces the player to choose before the match a number of weapons to use.
While it works for pistol and almost works for rifles, in totally remove the ability to use a weapon adapted for the situation on the SMG & heavy section.
For SMG & heavy, five slots are available for eleven weapons - twelves with team specific weapons. Of those twelves, one on each side is worth a slot while the rest requires game knowledge and adaptability.

With that choice imposed before the match, players are no longer able to use their game sens and decision making, as the player with the needed weapon (if any actually has it) will not be the one with the economy for it.

Over time, people will not learn how to react to those specific weapons, because nobody use them while player that want to try going off-meta won't equip those neither, because with such an amount of limited slots, it's too dangerous.
Players that do equip such specific weapon nonetheless will end in a situation where their loadout choice has the same impact on the game as the wrong operator choice on other games.

Weapons in counter strike always have been dictated with the economy management in game, and not with a choice like any other game with an operator or ability system.

Counter strike made its name and place in the community over the possibility for all players to have access at the same tool all the time. Such a change is a drastic step in the wrong direction, that is already visible on the limited CS2 tests.

As a consequence, CS2 buy menu selection before the game isn't CS anymore so the present CS guide will no longer be available as long as CS2 in-match inventory is there.

I invite any counter strike related content creator to do the same.
