The game offers per class a wide variety of cars. Here a list with the best cars (for me) where I earned a gold medal on all races (main game and the 3 seasons DLC) on hard difficulty. This can save you a lot of time to choose and try all the cars. I play on keyboard. With a steering wheel or controller other cars can be better. Of course this selection is personal and can be different depending on your driving style.

*On 1 race it was very dificult to manage to get the fastest lap to start on the first position. If you google that race, you end up on this youtube movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhL8JErv4Z0 where you can find the right setup. With this setup, I managed to get the first position. For all other cars setups are not necessary to win (maybe only increase top speed on Indianapolis oval circuit of course)
